Likewise..it also does not surprise me that 3/4 of the posters on here are treating this like this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Personally, I could care less. While we're at it..let's allow polygamy. I guess the Libs get to pick and choose what's moral.
I don't think believing in marriage between two people who love each other is liberal.
Whether marriage is between a man/woman, man/man, woman/woman it should be treated as a positive type of long term emotional, legal and financial relationship. The ignorant among us(Republican right wingers) want to ignore gay people and pretend they will just go away. If gay people want to get married it should be encouraged to solidify their often lonely and dangerous lifestyle. After all, gay people have the right to be unhappy just like all of us straight people!! California, its about time!!
Why does this bother so many people? I was raised Catholic, but that doesn't mean all others need to abide by my beliefs or the majority by any matter.
People need to let adults live their lives, worry about yourselves, your family, and mind your own business.
Is it that important that gay people cannot show their love for each other by getting married? I don't think God would want it any other way IMO, times change.
God is not a drill sergeant.
That's right. Keep raging. The world is turning, and this is just another example. I sincerely hope states continue to recognize gay marriages (or at least civil unions) just so all the little Chicken Littles out there can see that no, the sky isn't falling.
Its only falling in California.. or did you miss all of their budget problems..

Thats whats next... Once the law changes to say that marriage is not between a male/female, then a polygamist can legally argue that they are being discriminated against also, because they have a right to choose their way of life styles also.
Long as they arent harming others, whats the problem right?

What does one have to do with the other? At the very least, they might get a few more bucks for marriage licenses...
