And every time we pass a law to fund Ukraine our Pentagon gets a dump of money as well.

Why pay taxes if the government can just print unlimited amounts of money? We've done our part let Europe foot the rest of the bill it concerns them more than us.

We don't even have enough baby formula to supply mothers we are looking like a third world country.

The bill seeks to grant $7 billion more than the Admin asked for. Getting technical, it’s actually $17 billion more than requested given $10 billion Covid health funding in the original bill was struck. It passed the House with strong bipartisan support 368-57.

The US Military Industrial Complex cannot be denied.

Agreed.

Yet it passed the House with strong bipartisan support, 368-57. One Rep justified his Nay with the lack of time to read the entire bill and lack of debate. Sounds reasonable.

Well HR 7691 is another big slush fund with many US agencies receiving buckets of money....

Looks like State Dept and DoD are the big winners yet again.......
And we're paying the salaries and extra duty money to the Ukraine military.

I have not come across anything factual that supports Russia made application to join NATO, let alone was denied the opportunity to do so.

Did I miss something?

The Vietnam analogy is a good one, I'll grant you. We were warned that if Vietnam fell there would be a "domino effect" throughout Asia. Now we're told that if Ukraine falls, Poland and Slovakia will be next.
Yes, but left-wing people are usually against us being involved in a war, to point of screaming about it every day and marching in the streets against it. They're usually against military spending and arming other countries, too. What's so different this time around?

Chip Roy tried to get more time so the House Representatives could actually read what is in the bill. Getting it at 3 pm and expecting a vote the same day is ridiculous. Of course, Dems voted not to allow an adjournment. The sad part is this bill was approved and it is unlikely any of the representatives that voted to approve it knew exactly what was in it. Our tax dollars hard at work.

That's the way our Congress works now...distribute the bill and hours later take a vote so that no one really knows what they are voting on.

That's how PORK gets passed.

That's your lame and pathetic justification for it? The war in Ukraine really isn't our problem. Maybe if countries like Germany didn't get rid of their energy indepedence and rely on Russia for their gas and oil, they could actually grow a pair and step in to help. We're not the world's police. Sorry to Ukraine, but we've done enough.

Spare that BS on "if we can counter this." How about we focus on the baby shortage formula shortage? How about we focus on getting the costs of groceries, utilities, and services down. Are you aware that economists are advising the average household needs to sock away an additional $5200 per year to make up for the rising costs? $220 is for food and utilities alone.

If you want to save the world, donate your own money to Ukraine. So tired of Socialists like you wanting to ruin America.

Since Russia is our #1 enemy, shouldn't we declare war on Russia so everybody gets on board? When are you putting your pro war pon pons down and enlist in the military keyboard warrior and pay for it yourself?
