We already have a zillion gun laws, none of which will prevent these senseless tragedies.

Why is that so hard to understand?

Entire list violates the 2nd Amendment, and any politician who got behind even some of it would lose their next election.

Well, this one is easy enough......because what the common person refers to as an assault rifle....ISN'T!

How could a person shoot a residential burglar?

We already have laws, yet shootings still occur. We have a people problem, not a gun problem.

Ideally, all gun laws should go away, as "Shall not be infringed upon", is quite clear...

It won't work. There are thousands of gun laws on the books. Mass shootings have happened in states like IL, CA, CT, and NY - states with highly restrictive gun laws.

"No guns within half a mile of a school or church" - how can that be enforced? If a law-abiding citizen lives one block away from a school or a church (I've seen many elementary, middle, and high schools with houses literally in front/next to them).... you say they can't own guns?

Or, what if a lawful gun owner is driving home from the gun range; to and fro, and including maintenance and storage of guns and ammo, he follows his state's laws to the final detail. Yet because of where he lives, he *must* drive by a school or a church. He has thus violated one of your hypothetical gun laws; never mind that the gun is unloaded, locked inside a hard case (with a padlock), and that the gun has been rendered inoperable by a safety mechanism that can only be removed with a key.... and never mind that the ammunition is stored separately in a hard plastic or metal container, likewise locked with a padlock... and that both cases are inside the trunk of his car.

For him to get them, to try to load the gun, he would have to stop, pop the trunk, unlock the padlocks, remove the safety mechanism from the gun, and load. Those without experience thinks this takes seconds.... it takes several minutes. Passersby, including police, would notice.

Yet even if he never did anything criminal and just drove by, he'd be violating your law.

And how would THAT law stop mass shootings?

Your list makes no sense.

EDIT: no foldable stocks - who cares? Does an AR-15 or an AK47 with a non-collapsible stock inflict any less damage?
