Yep. Guns = Freedom, Choice and Independent Thought and these concepts do not match well with the new Democrats and their agenda.
A common attack by the Gun Grabbers is that some gun toting MAGA Neanderthal could never stand up against real tyranny and they would be no match for a modern Army! Well we now have the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine to point to as evidence that a civilian militia armed with average firepower can in fact slow down the advances of a Super Power Nation.
When it comes to the Democrats forcibly disarming law abiding gun owners I'm reminded of Ben Franklin's words "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Of course it is highly unlikely that the Government is going to go door to door seizing guns and arresting those that cling to them but what we will see is a slow drip drip campaign where "common sense" gun laws are enacted to the point where eventually our Rights will be dissolved.
When it comes to the Dems if they are given an inch they will take a mile.
The second amendment could be repealed, although it's unlikely that there will ever be a 2/3 majority in both the House and Senate of those willing to do it.
And 3/4ths of the States to ratify it. Never going to happen
