Japan, Israel, Sweden, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada - take your pick of systems. All of these have violent video games and people with mental health problems. None of them have any problems with mass shootings, or an incidence rate that is statistically negligible. Gun violence on a wide scale is a problem unique to the United States.

On a side note, deaths of children by firearms in Texas has doubled since Abbott took office, and guns have surpassed automobile accidents as the leading cause of death of children in the U. S.

Nobody is going to change the Bill of Rights. The democrats huff and puff a lot, but the BoR will never change and for good reason.

You'll give it up for what you paid for it. Maybe they'll throw in an incentive on top of avoiding jail, who knows.

But why is everyone getting wedgies about the 2nd Amendment. It's here to stay. People are attached to their guns almost as much as to their booze. 2nd Amendment isn't going anywhere.

And it doesn't have to. They can get rid of assault guns and the 2nd Amendment wouldn't even feel it.
For those Constitutional originalists, If all firearms were banned besides muzzleloaders, 2A would remain entirely intact.

4th amendment is completely gone. Police openly access the entirety of the population’s cell phone gps tracking data.

4th amendment bare minimal would require a warrant for each individual’s gps data. And they’d need direct suspicion involved in the current crime invoking the search.

How things change for so many decades, this was an assault gun:

(in some definitions for it is like these of WW II: https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Assault_gun

In any event, the 2nd Amendment would feel it. Why? Because they won't stop there. The mass shooters will use some other gun, perhaps a shotgun, and then, they will say those need to be banned as well.

Or he can keep it under the bed. He just won’t be able to let anyone know he has it.

Not sure the third is much use either these days.

They don't have to change it. They simply ignore it, and violate it whenever they feel the need.

Examples are innumerable. To mention just one:

You go into a gun store, pick out a gun you want, and hand the purchase price to the clerk. He says, "Wait a minute, you have to fill out this Federal form, or else the law says you can't buy a gun." You say, "I don't want to fill out any forms, I just want to buy the gun, here's the money." He says, "The the law says you can't buy a gun."

There you go. Your right to buy a gun has just been infringed. In fact, it has been completely ignored... in flat violation of the 2nd amendment.

The leftists DON'T have to change the Constitution. They simply have to ignore it... and they do, dozens of times per day.

No wonder they've never made any real attempt to modify or repeal the 2nd amendment. They don't have to.

Hell yes they would.

I say this as a person that has no interest in guns and does not have one.
