I don't know if you've noticed, but almost all of them have turned into nutballs.

I guess you may not have realized this, depending on your perspective.

Okay, um...this seems FAR from a liberal statement. The tweeter whines, "Bad things happen to people with white privilege too but don't tell the whites that." Typical nationalist sarcastic rhetoric, that ZOMG white people are targeted ALL the time, poor white people. And tastelessly he compares his apparent fantasies of repression to the suffering of Anne Frank...gross.

He is saying she had white privilege (??????) but even she got targeted, somebody please save "the whites." What 'lib' EVER calls white people "the whites"?

This one was a fail, dude. This is typical bizarre, tasteless far right rhetoric right down to woe is me and Godwin's law.

People tried to figure it out and answer it and one person said something stupid: Anne Frank could have hidden behind her whiteness whereas black people can't do that. But the tweet bringing up Frank as an example of "white privilege"? That came from the Poor Persecuted Whites, When Will it Ever Be Our Turn to Shine supremacist workbook. The whole in-bad-taste Frank analogy came from a rightist's disgusting tweet.

You're making excuses for your pointing out irrelevancies.

What people are missing here is that the tweet was far right rhetoric about how "people with white privilege" suffer because just look at Anne Frank.

Read the tweet in its entirety. It is far right/nationalist rhetoric. It was NOT posted by "a leftist." It is whining that white people suffer and disgustingly gives Anne Frank as an example of how "the whites" - his own words - get picked on.

That still doesn't change my opinion that I am very tired of the extreme left.

(And, YES, I do agree that white privilege exists and it has been easier to be white in Europe and the U.S. in general than it has been for darker-skinned people or Asians, but I am tired of so many issues being turned into an issue of race instead of addressing the problem itself, whatever problem that is.)

It's amazing how the left can defend something without blatantly defending it.
