There are laws. If the local people vote in someone who violates the provisions of his office, he goes.

I get tired of just words , I love to see actions against those that will not uphold the law. I like to see more accountability for those who allow the criminals out of jail to repeat crime on the public. Everyone is the public and all people should praise those that see that the law is upheld for everyone. We need a safe environment to live in.

Suspended Florida prosecutor hits back at Ron DeSantis and reveals suspected motive

On Thursday, Florida Politics reported that Andrew Warren, the Democratic state prosecutor of Hillsborough County, Florida, is hitting back at Gov. Ron DeSantis after he moved to suspend him from office.

“People need to understand this isn’t the Governor trying to suspend the one elected official," said Warren. “This is the Governor trying to overthrow democracy here in Hillsborough County.”

Nothing new for DeSantis really. He removed Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel from office due to the Parkland shootings.

As for Warren, if you intend to lawyer up, I hope Soros has promised to foot the bill. Israel sued DeSantis unsuccessfully.

Andrew Warren of Hillsborough County Florida has been suspended in definitely for failing to uphold the laws in Florida. “State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida. I have the utmost trust that Judge Susan Lopez will lead the office through this transition and faithfully uphold the rule of law.”

So DeSantis correctly says that it is up to the state elected officials to uphold the law, and not pick and choose which laws to enforce, but fails to see the irony that he supports states rights to pick and choose which federal laws they will uphold.

It's odd, because he is applauded for defying the law when his base agrees with him, and now he's applauded for not letting other do the same.

FWIW, I don't know all the facts about Andrew Warren, but basically I agree with DeSantis, or at least what he said. But I think he should take his own advice, and run the state the same way, if he wants to be credible. Right now he's just a law breaker, a social injustice worker, and no better than the people he critiuques.

Just like any other job. If you refuse to do your job, you get fired. It is fully within the governor's power to fire a DA, its in Florida constitution.

I would appreciate an example or two of the Federal laws DeSantis has defied or is refusing to enforce or cooperate regarding. I am unaware of any but you appear to know. Can you please list a couple?

Not listing any will be confirmation that he is not refusing to enforce any Federal laws. Thanks.
