Every DEI person I've encountered has been a white woman. So, also not diverse in my experience(which is obviously too small of a sample size), but just of a different set from what you've experienced.

Diversity is a farce.
You can’t make diversity out of no diversity.
When you have 5 white guys, 5 black guys, 5 Orientals, 5 Indians, etc…then you can have diversity. Everything else is a forced pandering delusional illusion.
Let’s just put colors and transvestites in every important position just “because”

Why are DEI departments not diverse?

"Restrictions for thee, but not for me"?

I went to diversity training at my company. I was one of 3 white guys in the room of probably 50, the rest were Indian, Asian, etc. and more female whites than male whites and the same number of blacks. Yep, that is IT in Chicago - good thing they let us white males know how not to be racist and sexist. Must be tough on everyone else.

Where are you seeing DEI departments? I've never seen a DEI department (i.e. a cost center on the P&L) in my travels.

I've only seen them as committees offering recommendations. At least in the companies I've worked for the DEI committee is well represented by all walks of life.

But that's just my experience. I'm sure it varies from place to place.

You can't have I (inclusion) in DEI if as many people are being excluded as are being included.

Don't be a hater. It's a great gig if you can get it.

It's such a great gig that some whites pretend to be black or Indian so they can get those gigs.

With our open border, at some point they'll open those jobs to white people (no, they won't.)

Diversity just means no white folks. I think we should be more concerned that there are such depts. rather than who is staffing them.
