The big issue of dei is not that it is about diversity of people. It's does not allow diversity of the kind and thoughts. Diversity of opinions is problematic with dei.

Because your group doesn't need to be coddled by the state.

What does DEI stand for?

No links, no references, no hints in any post to date.

When I google it I get mostly references to Deion Sanders.

What did he do?
It stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion or as I call it Discrimination, Evil, and Illegal.

There is a book on the subject, Jews Don't Count by David Baddiel. Also, since when does the word "diversity" have anything to do with a need to be coddled? I am a member of a minority group. Where's my check?

for the exact same reason they call an inflation causing green energy nightmare bill "Inflation Reduction Act"

Telling the truth wont get them elected.

Jews don't count because similarly with Asian as a group are too successful and don't need big government dependence, so they don't cater to those groups.

Speaking of Jews, never understood their allegiance to the Dems.

It's always been a backdoor jobs program. We have created lot's of ways to encourage the employment of people who might otherwise be hard to employ over the years

Trying to be objective, there may be some expectation that an individual who has actually suffered the consequences of inadequate DEI would be uniquely qualified to address problems in that area.

There is also a stereotype that by placing minorities in HR positions, it reduces an organization's susceptibility to wrongful discharge litigation

I would not discount this latter option, there is merit there

I swear I think the goal is to create racism.

Because EVERYONE knows what D/E/I is code for. You just can't say it out loud.

There are no bigger racists than D/E/I activists. Companies need to stop cowering to this.
