However, I'm also aware that getting rid of all illegal immigrants will have side effects no one talks about until their lawn care costs 300.00 instead of 30.00 and a salad at a restaurant costs 5 times as much because now all the workers doing jobs we don't ant to do will be unionized.
Exactly.. Right wing brain washing of how building a wall will magically solve all illegal immigration/ drug crisis is so amusing. First of all, majority of illegal immigrants came to this country legally but didn’t leave.

As for drugs, vast majority by far comes from a legal port of entry.

Not all, but many. Once before this area lost their immigrants, can’t remember the reason, but the county almost sunk. Nobody around to buy food, use gas, rent houses or apts, retail sales dropped, kids left the schools. Economically it was a disaster. Think it was when Obama was doing those raids , and the strawberry farmers lost their crops at the vine. No pickers. True story. Now there is a huge shortage of construction workers, all these new developments are on a standstill.

Manatee County activists protest Florida’s new immigration laws

Recently, The Farmworkers Association of Florida told 8 On Your Side an estimated 300,000 agricultural workers in the state are undocumented. Leaders believe E-verify will leave farmers scraping for employees.

“Who’s going to pay for that when the crops are in the field rotting? Who’s going to pay, you will, I will,” said Glenn Pearson, Manatee County Democratic Black Caucus.

Meanwhile, a report from the Department of Labor states the construction industry is strapped for workers with 129,000 job openings in February alone.

Manatee County activists say a lot of undocumented people work in that industry as well.

What is truly amusing is you and yours claiming that walls don't deter a good many illegal aliens in spite of the facts provided to you. Talk about brain washing!

Untrue, that at any given time there were more visa over stayers here than border jumpers! The stats I have provided in the past state that there has never been more than 900,000 visa over stayers within one year.

Where's the link to your claims that the vast majority of drugs come through a legal port of entry?

There is evidence and a lot more problem beside them voting. They can also get driver license , social security , etc but hey they are not breaking any laws right. Just let them have a free pass and do whatever they want because laws dont apply to them.

"Currently, 12 states and the District of Columbia allow noncitizens to obtain drivers licenses. Oftentimes, these illegal aliens are added to the voter rolls at the time they renew their drivers licenses without any attempt made on behalf of the government to verify their United States citizenship. Thus, this loophole in the system is part of the problem."

tinytrump, this is not the Bush’s era immigration policy

You are coming into the US illegally as a single male or female, your chances of getting 212’ed are pretty high

Walls stop "illegal aliens" why would you call them plain ole immigrants? Where the good walls have been built it has deterred illegal entry by 90%. We only need about 1,000 miles of it total, total on the most porous areas of the border. The rest of the border is nearly impassable terrain so fewer will try to cross in those areas and fewer will succeed. The Border Patrol can focus their efforts more in those areas.

The wall is too expensive? More then the over $100 billion a year that illegals cost us? Did you fail at math?

Misconception 2: “Building a wall would greatly reduce heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl trafficking.”

Proponents of a border wall often claim that it would help the United States solve its opioid addiction problem by blocking heroin smugglers from Mexico. This reveals a misunderstanding of how cross-border smuggling works.

The vast majority of the drug that enters from Mexico does so through “ports of entry”—the 48 official land crossings through which millions of people, vehicles, and cargo pass every day. “Heroin seizures almost predominantly are through the port of entry and either carried in a concealed part of a vehicle or carried by an individual,”

Poll is too binary.

We need a vote for "Whatever method is deemed to be most effective and affordable for a given section of border."

Where there are currently walls, the drug dealers just dig a tunnel or fly a plane or climb a ladder or take a boat. All it actually provides is a false sense of security. It is a 5 billion dollar boondoggle.
There are tunnel sensors under Trump's walls. You must be talking about the old walls that had no sensors. The walls are very high and the last person who tried to climb over it broke both legs trying. So you were saying?

By the way, we guard our waters and air space.

No, the good walls aren't stupid and facts have been provided to back it up!

Oh, I see you're ok with illegals taking Americans jobs by working for less? There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a fair wage and we are obligated as citizens of this country to respect our immigration laws. Guess you don't though? Illegals cost us over $100 billion a year. They are no bargain. Educate yourself on this issue before spouting nonsense!
