I didn’t say they were arming against US Citizens, you did that.
They must believe by the time this new Law takes effect - those Non Citizen Law Enforcement will have magically become instant Citizens.
Green Card holders can own a firearm.

May aliens legally in the United States purchase firearms?

An alien legally in the U.S. is not prohibited from purchasing firearms unless the alien is admitted into the U.S. under a nonimmigrant visa and does not meet one of the exceptions as provided in 18 U.S.C. 922(y)(2), such as possession of a valid hunting license or permit.

Another thought. The "asylum: seekers often cite that they are fleeing crime and corruption while fearing for their lives. What they are fleeing is a corrupt Government and Police force that are working for the Cartels. This is what these "migrants" know so will we see the corruption continue here once they get some power as cops over the average citizen? Will a routine traffic stop turn into a shake down?

Perhaps the do gooders of Illinois are putting these "migrant" cops into positions to Police the new immigrants communities?

A better idea would be not to hand them guns but to make them counselors, right? That is what the Left wants. They want counselors to respond to domestic disputes so send these new and unarmed cops.

This whole scheme sounds like Illinois is giving up the fight against Illegal Immigration and accepting it.
The law specifically states:
"Provides that an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law "

That means green card holders or other immigrants who are authorized to work in the US. It doesn't make it legal to hire illegal immigrants as police officers.

Non Citizens to join Law Enforcement, carry Weapons ( which Courts say is Illegal) and enforce Law they they have been eager to break themselves. In the normal course of events — Mexican/South American Cartels Bribe Law Enforcement in the USA. I guess it’s a lot easier to just get them on the Payroll.

Bill Status of HB3751 - Illinois General Assembly

This New Law will become effective in January 2024. The basic Premise is that the Law REMOVES all references to “US Citizen” and inserts DACA .

The real problem (other that Illegal Aliens as our new Police Force] is that the Federal Courts and Former Homeland Security head(Janet Napolitano have BOTH said that the DACA memorandum (everyone DOES remember this was just a Memo, not an E.O.) that DACA enrolled (which has been paused for years); does NOT allow them to purchase or carry a weapon.

So. …. What is this all about? They are expecting a BIG announcement from the BIG GUY to make all DACA people Instant US Citizens, arm them for “ law enforcement “ against real US Citizens.

It’s Unconstitutional of course, but TeamBiden has admitted several times — it takes time to work through the Courts and in the meantime …. It goes in place.
I have no problem with legal immigrants with a green card doing those jobs but the DACAs, no! They have only been given a temporary stay of deportation and should never have been given a right to work here.

Seems a natural progression based on current border policy. Anyway, theyll eventually need foot soldiers to help fully
implement race replacement theory.

Could the IQs of our lawmakers get any lower? We're down to about the level of a lobotomized chimpanzee at this point.

Those who proposed this should not only be fired, but lose all retirement, insurance, etc, AND be thrown in prison (specifically a facility for the criminally insane). Sometimes I think these idiots come up with this stuff just to see how outrageous they can be. But they are serious. Maybe next they can hire death row prison inmates as law enforcement officers.

The new Law specifically refers to DACA -

https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ful...ess=0&Session=

” legally authorized under federal law to work in the United States and is authorized under federal law to obtain, carry, or purchase or otherwise possess a firearm, or who is an individual against whom immigration action has been deferred by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) process and is authorized under federal law to obtain, carry, or purchase or otherwise possess a firearm”

DACA people don’t have Green Cards. They have Deferred Action.
Green Card holders can purchase guns. It’s tight there in the Legislation.

On June 15, 2012, the Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano issued a Memorandum entitled Exercising Prosecutorial Discretion With Respect to Individuals Who Came to the United States as Children (the “Memorandum”).3 The purpose of the Memorandum was to implement policy measures to assist in ensuring immigration enforcement resources were not expended on “low priority cases” in lieu of focusing on individuals who met enforcement priorities. Id. This policy became known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or “DACA.” The Memorandum established a policy to defer removal proceedings for two years, subject to renewal, of persons who came to the United States as children, who met certain other eligibility requirements. Id. at 1-2. The Memorandum cautioned that it “confer[ed] no substantive right, immigration status or pathway to citizenship. Only Congress, acting through its legislative authority, can confer these rights.” Id.

The Federal Courts have already ruled that DACA status doesn’t allow gun rights.

Why do you think they are insane? The law specifically states that the prospective employees who are not citizens have to have Federal authority to work here. Why would you be opposed to someone who is here legally and has a green card working as a law enforcement officer?
