This is probably because most conservatives are older and have never messed with twitter. Partly because it was considered "liberal" and partly because it is technology. The old cons who are tech savvy probably went over to Trothe Sensual because they want to be where Trump is. To them Musk might still be the "electric car" guy who is an evil democrat trying to ruin our economy with his green cars.
For me, it had a lot to do with the name right from the start.

And I have nothing against Musk being a purveyor of EVs.... If he can get rich selling a load of pie in the sky technology to Left Wing tree huggers.... More power to him.
It's pretty funny considering what Conservatives have been doing - boycotting everything that offends the and going after companies that dare to disagree. Musk himself has applauded many of these actions very boldly on Twitter. But when it comes to his own company, he doesn't like it at all. It seems the only ads on Twitter these days are random items that used to be sold on late night television and that probably doesn't get a lot of ad revenue. Liberals don't have to support Twitter. Let that sink in!
At the end of the day, a Company has the right to take its business/money elsewhere if they don't agree with the views or policies of said company.
Kinda like conservatives have the right not to shop at Target or drink Bud Light. Politics isn't good for business it's best to stay neutral or else you take a hit to the bottom line.
Elon is neutral because he is not out there censoring leftists from practicing their free speech on his platform

That's a blanket statement.....I'm older and conservative and really like Twitter and am happy Musk has put an end to the censorship over there.
