It's pretty funny considering what Conservatives have been doing - boycotting everything that offends the and going after companies that dare to disagree. Musk himself has applauded many of these actions very boldly on Twitter. But when it comes to his own company, he doesn't like it at all. It seems the only ads on Twitter these days are random items that used to be sold on late night television and that probably doesn't get a lot of ad revenue. Liberals don't have to support Twitter. Let that sink in!

How do we know ad revenue has been cut in half? Its a private company. I never used to like twitter (and was permanently banned), now I'm paying for a blue check mark. So there certainly are other revenue streams. Also, twitter in the past misrepresented data, over half of the users were bots. Elon cleaned house, so its likely there are less views for advertising now.

I can see why you didn't post a link, as it is not quite what you are trying to claim.

Musk claimed the losses were the result of his own commitment to protecting free speech, saying “I don’t care how much it costs or what it takes … If we lose free speech we lose democracy.”
The Liberals want to shut down Twitter, they want it to go away, disappear off of the face of the earth. He seems to be willing to take the hit to the bottom line instead of shutting down, which he could have easily done.

He also added subscriptions so there's another revenue stream.

Just like Bud Light, this seems to be another case of not knowing their audience. However, if Elon really isn't in the business of making money with Twitter, then that's his decision.

Of course revenue is much lower now that advertisers have learned that millions of Twitter accounts were just bots, instead of actual customers.

Twitter was half bots. Of course revenue is down. What advertiser wants to pay for ads for bots to watch?

Musk no longer wanted to buy Twitter after he learned the value of the compan was a fraction of the stated value. After Musk learned that the Twitter owners had lied about the huge number of bots on Twitter, he announced he would not buy Twitter. They threatened to sue him, so Musk bought Twitter under duress.

Musk's purchase revealed that Twitter was never worth close to the stated value by the previous duplicitous owners.

But Twitter’s U.S. advertising revenue for the five weeks from April 1 to the first week of May was $88 million, down 59 percent from a year earlier, according to an internal presentation obtained by The New York Times. The company has regularly fallen short of its U.S. weekly sales projections, sometimes by as much as 30 percent, the document said.
