That's certainly good news. I know a certain someone who will be relieved to hear this "ghost gun" nonsense is taking a good beat down. An interesting fact I was not privy to till just recently is the county in which I reside (Lyon county) is officially a "Second amendment sanctuary." The Sherriff came up with the idea and the District court judge ruled in favor of implementing it.
Yep we're one of those evil places that doesn't believe in "gun free zones" except of course the schools and government offices. Of course there has been exactly zero opposition to it and I can't think of one business in town that does not allow citizen carry. Oh, the medical centers don't allow carry either. But that's about it. This time of year all the way up to the end of September I carry regularly here in town. The transient farm laborers over run us during growing season and triple at harvest time. Without fail there are always problems.
They swarm the whole valley but town winds up looking like some run down section of Tiajuana. Huge groups just lolling about wherever they see fit. And they do like to cause trouble so long as they have numerical superiority in the 3 or 4 to 1 range. Anyway the "ghost gun" thing is one I expected the Joey Bidet Puppet Show to try and get arbitrary about. Trying to circumvent established law and policy. I wouldn't be at all shocked if they try some other sort of executive unilateral action on firearms policy in general. Oh it will be quite sweeping whatever they come up with and their neo leftist Dem supporters will cheer it as "oh so brave' taking on the NRA andConstitution be hanged.
That obsolete moldy document that if the framers had only known how firearms tech would progress they never would have ratified it. You betcha. All those old White slave owning oppressors had no right at all passing something like the 2A into a list of inalienable rights. Besides since flintlocks were the premium tech of the day then flintlocks are all we should be allowed to own. All that and so much more utter reeking BS do they keep coming up with.
Way I figger it anyone who votes D and then ******* about who they voted for being everything from utterly corrupt to despotic just need to sit down and shut up. If you're not part of the solution ten you're part of the problem I say to EVERYONE who voted D in the last election and brought us Biden as CiC. That's cucumber in chief for Biden. Not Commander in Chief.
The USPS should be spun out of the government, with the federal government only holding nonvoting shares.
The Post Office was designated to be created by Congress in Article 1 of the Constitution. It would be impossible to separate it from the government without an Amendment.

Great. Fire everyone working for the USPS and outsource all of its operations to FedEx, UPS, Amazon and/or Walmart. Retain a manager or two and a couple hundred contract specialists to manage the contracts.

By state law, most of Missouri is the same as where you live. No gun permits needed. Gun registration is illegal. Only places like the court houses, hospitals and schools are gun-free. If you don't want anyone in your business with a gun, you must have signs posted and they must follow state rules as to size of the sign, size of the letters, etc. If you get caught with a gun in one of those stores and refuse to leave, you get a ticket, similar to a traffic ticket. There are no gun free businesses in my area, they would not survive.
There is currently an attempt to get the no-gun rule removed from colleges.
We have almost no crime and what there is consists of theft by druggies.
Maybe ATF needs to go back to being an agency under executive branch.
For the last few years ATF is acting both as an executive branch and legislative branch by making whatever new gun law they see fit bypassing Congress.
It should open a storefront in a strip mall near you. Hank's Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. All your shopping under one roof.

Done.
Private contractors partly handled the mail in 1881. It was an arrangement ripe for graft which erupted into a big scandal just prior to President Garfield's assasination.

If ATF goes away, which agency enforces the laws related to alcohol, tobacco, and firearms, and collects the related excise taxes? And audits the manufacturers to ensure they are complying with the tax laws?
