No it doesn't. The government needs to get out of regulations period. They cause more harm than good and I agree with the others, let it be a state thing.

The Federal government can impose excise taxes as well, which is why alcohol, tobacco, and firearms have excise taxes.
No they can't. In fact, the USA was created to combat taxes from England at the time. I think it's time we went back that road. I'm in favor of abolishing all federal agencies because it's clear they are not working for the American people, only a select few elites. JFK even warned us of this before he was killed.

BATF(and nearly all other agencies) cannot be eliminated without major rewrites of the US Code and the Code of Federal Regulations
Sure they can, and we can use the SCOTUS to get this through.

The FBI lacks the expertise to enforce the laws that ATF(and most other agencies) enforce. That's why they have their own law enforcement agents.
Another useless agency that hasn't done anything since it's inception. If they were so good, then 9/11 never would have happened.

Done.
Better yet, fund it completely as the Service to the public it was intended to be.

Are you saying that the Feds DON'T get to regulate interstate commerce? That's completely against what the constitution says.
To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes;

As for taxes and such:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

SCOTUS is not going to eliminate an entire agency. Not even Thomas and Alito are that stupid.
