The story is the woman was trying to get up the stairs with her walker, maybe blocking the way, as he was coming down the stairs. He swore at her and I think she responded, which led to him pushing her to the ground. She tried to hit him with her cane and he grabbed it and beat her with it.

The guy is a scumbag with a history of violence and needs to be locked-up for a long time.

I've done the cliche 'help an old lady' cross the street before in midtown. Inattentive cars and bikes can be brutal.

Why couldn't this "man" simply see her struggling up the stairs and actually Help her get up and out of the way instead of cursing her out? The hell. it is 3:30am, no one is around,..who you puffing your chest out to, bro? Big man.

Hope some big men teach him respect in jail. that is, if he ever sees one.
