They will be working here, legally and paying taxes and the problems is ... ?
The Census Bureau is reporting a 0.4% population increase and in 2021 they reported slow growth of 0.1%, saying slowest rate since the founding of this nation.
Do we not want Biden to give them legal work permits? Do we not want the government to tax their earnings? Do we not want them buying goods and services, which will pay into State taxes? And God forbid the stay here five years which would make them eligible for citizenship.
Has anyone realized what anti-immigration advocates winning would actually mean, for this country? If you haven't yet, I'm thinking you may catch on soon.
I can see the intent of not giving work permits out immediately to legal immigrants. When you have the immigration system that we do which is that anyone can legally come over and claim asylum and then it's 5-10 years for a hearing, also giving them work permits immediately is just another incentive. Of course it's not like it's a big secret there's a large underground economy with lots of jobs for people who don't have work papers can get. State and local governments could do more about it but why? A certain amount of cheap, illegal labor is good for the goose and good for the gander. Too many though is bad which is where we're at capacity. For 30 years since Reagan did amnesty, both sides were perfectly content to have a healthy supply of illegals working in the country. We're at more than a healthy level though, a lot more.
Really though the problem is federal level. That's where the fix needs to come from. Since migrants can just keep claiming asylum you can't really effectively address the issue until you turn down the facet of migrants which requires a change in the law.
They are going to other places too, like Panama and Colombia. As a matter of fact Colombia has more than any other country with 2.9 million Venezuelans. It makes sense since its next door, and they speak Spanish. Peru has also accepted over half a million applications, on top of the ones they have already taken in.
Colombia has stepped up to the plate, and it's impressive they took so many. However, when you factor in the teeming hordes of illegal migrants living in the United States, it's not even half of the amount of people, per capita, that we're expected to accommodate. Panama is taking in 150,000 which for their country is a decent amount, but still a paltry sum relative to us.
These people need to be going primarily to fellow Spanish-speaking Latin countries in South and Central America. Frankly, this logic should be applying to anyone living down there, as we have enough migrants who aren't supposed be here in the first place. We're probably close to, if not up to, around 30 million illegal aliens at this point since Magoo was installed.

Why would they damn up the cash flow? That cash flow is buying a burger at the local McDonalds, groceries at the local Walmart, fuel at the stop-n-pump, etc... taxes appear at the end of each receipt. Those taxes pay for all kinds things within that State.
The world is slowly coming to a stand still on having babies. In the u.s. several problems have come up because of it, one, real estate prices are increasing and they're not going to stop until they have enough buyers.
The reason the u.s. is still having an increase (albeit slow) in population is because of it's policies on immigration. Other countries are not going to fair so well and they know it. Less people within a country means citizens will pay more for what they need. That's the bottom line of it.

Ah the coveted pyramid scheme mantra. Right on time.
If you can get two friends to spread the work and each of them have two friends and on and on. You can be a millionaire to, just try my proven system. Yada yada
Maybe a country of like a few hundred thousand that might have a sliver of truth. How many people in the US? Oh yeah… over a third of a billion.

It's all about managing the flow. Since we won't reform immigration to make it sensible, we enact policies that encourage a certainly level of illegal immigration. Why we won't just reform immigration is more complex. There's that employers love illegals, good labor force to exploit, there's xenophobia, racism, and just good old partisan politics. I think at this point both sides mostly agree that immigration reform needs to happen, could probably find at least some points they even agree on, but good luck getting them to sit down and actually do any legislating. They're preoccupied with partisan politicking and one-upmanship.
Legal immigration allowances into the US is the most generous in the world.
Our economy is based on irrational growth models. Obviously, irrational, man made population growth schemes are utilized.
Big business and the politics it influences are the primary drivers. There is no smart way around them either. Blunt force seizure of this country’s politics is the only way. Boycotts aren’t feasible because people are weak and subjugated. Raising taxes on them seems implausible as well, because American hubris and ego won’t allow for it.
Now that affirmative action in college is gone, Hispanics will help socialize this country within a generation. But conservatives don’t want to raise taxes on the rich to fight it. Gotta love it…

What's not sensible about our current immigration laws, policies and quotas that requires reform? The illegal immigration issue has nothing to do with xenophobia or racism either. It's about our laws!

Not everyone thinks it's sensible law that anyone can walk in, claim asylum, and temporarily be allowed in as a legal immigrant for the 5-10 years it takes for a hearing. It's cool if you think that's sensible as you've repeatedly told me that nothing needs to be changed and we just needed to do what the Biden admin is doing and following the laws. As we've gone around ad nauseum we just disagree on that point.

See here's the thing... it's not anti immigration or pro immigration, it's about legal immigration and like every other nation on earth the question is asked, "does immigration help or hurt our nation".
There's a process. It's ignored. Why must American citizens be required to follow the process and illegal immigrants get a free pass?
Standards and processes reduce chaos and protect our sovereignty.
