Don't give any ideas to the hack in the W.H., he might push it and send the bill to the American taxpayers like he does with everything else. His 2024 motto is: "Foreigners First, Americans Last".
African countries are hilarious, thinking they deserve reparations. I'm pretty sure they were the original "accounts receivable" during the slave trade.

Isn't that analogous to England demanding that we become a monarchy, with perhaps an "under-king" who reports to King Charles?
There isn't a group of people on Earth who's forefathers weren't held in slavery at some point.
So if the West pays the Africans are the Africans going to pay the Jews who were held as slaves by Egypt? That's going to add up, because that whole Egyptian Pharos, Jewish slave thing went on for awhile.
What about all the European knights the Middle Easterners captured and enslaved during the Crusades? Surely their descendants deserve a buck or two.
Let's not forget the descendants of American WWII vets who were held as slaves by Japan and Germany during the war. Many of them were also tortured and worked to death. I think that's compensable.
Morocco ended up warehousing German POW's during WWII and they used them as slave labor. I guess Morocco should write a check to the Germans too.
China owes A LOT of money because for all of recorded history slavery has been and remains a fixture in that country. Nearly 4,000,000 Chinese are currently enslaved in 2024. That's more slaves than America ever had, even at slavery's peak in the 1850's.
The Native Americans owe a lot of money to the descendants of white settlers, many of whom were captured and enslaved. Nobody gets a pass here.
Let's suffice to say that, if we're being honest, we could basically list almost everyone as descendants of slaves and slave traders. Besides, it's utterly ridiculous for Africa of all places to raise this issue, when even today slavery is more prevalent there than nearly anywhere on Earth (except Asia). Eritrea has a total population of less than 5 million and it's estimated over 450,000 of them are currently slaves, nearly 1/100. The Congo is estimated to have over 1,000,000 people who are currently slaves. It's been over 150 years since slavery was an accepted institution in the West, but they're still buying and selling their own people today.
