Well the African countries are talking about the slave trade and that's what they want reparations for.

You know who had slaves before America was even discovered? Pretty much every civilization that has ever existed so why is everyone that might have had some roots in the slave trade coming after America?

Maybe those African nations should look to Egypt first? Those pyramids didn't build themselves. I suspect if they did go to Egypt seeking reparations they would be laughed at but here in America we have too many that are suffering with their White Guilt.

Here is an idea. Put a line item on our tax forms and if you want to shed some of your white guilt and pay into a reparation fund then it is your choice.

one might argue that if they paid attention to the northern most and western most european countries, they might get to the people that actually bought them (from africans, lets not forget that either)

But these african nations smell blood in the water after they watch the candy store being given away to china and iran by the present admin....so can you blame them really?

Correct. The article said nothing about colonialism or imperialism.

(Reuters) - Financial reparations are long overdue to Africans and the diaspora as compensation for the enslavement of people of African descent, Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo said on Tuesday on the first day of a conference on how to address such historical injustices.

This is another shakedown by African countries hoping to guilt trip white western progressives for free money.

I give permission to anybody who wants to pay reparations to African countries to send that money from their personal bank accounts.

You are free do anything you want.

Yikes, it appears progressives just can’t avoid this unpaid debt. They apparently need to pay reparations to African Americans who have never been slaves, as well as African countries who have had their independence for decades.

When will they pay up? A 4 day reparstions conference is serious business.
That's funny because they keep threatening to take the case to the Courts, but it never happens, I wonder why.

The West already provides hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to such countries, and in terms of slavery the Africans themselves along with the Islamic world were responsible for far more slavery than the West, and the Sun-Suharan slave trade stretches back thousands of years, and slavery still exists in many parts of the word today.

They've got a year of free government goodies left to grab.
Biden probably sent out a memo, just in case their "other" plan fails in 2024. Maybe they can "help" with the election, maybe the Ukraine and Israel can "help" too.

There will be a lot of distractions from our REAL problems, so let's not be a victim to those distractions from our biggest issue - the presidency and the move to socialism. Collapsing the economy will score them socialism - is that what everyone wants. "While you were sleeping".

We have an empty pot, actually with a hole in the bottom rusted out by the corruption of our elected officials that has been there a long time.

I demand reparations from them. Those "African countries" have been nothing but a drain on the US taxpayer for the past seventy years. And what thanks do we get for "feeding their starving children"? A a kick in the stones and an open ******* hand held out for more.
