And that's why I'm not a libertarian.

Disney deserves everything they've gotten, and I'm not big on government "punishing" corporations. Sexualization of children is not tolerated by a just society. Therefore, I have zero issues with Governor DeSantis ending Disney's corporate welfare. Want to keep your corporate welfare, Disney? Don't support sexualizing children. It's that simple.

I'm not here to argue whether he was right or wrong. But it is most definitely counter to everything libertarians believe and value. So it makes no sense to refer to him as a libertarian.

Doesn't get more anarchist, or excuse me, libertarian than that.

You can't pick out one or 2 things and declare someone holds an entire philosophy that is counter to other things he does. Trump wanted to privatize the post office, but he's not a libertarian, either.

His potential path to WH goes through Senate in 2026, and then try for WH in 2028.

Actually Senate might be tricky, because he'd have to oust either Rubio or Scott. House Rep maybe.
Senate to President is a long shot. Of the 60+ Presidential runs by sitting or former Senators since 1972, only 2 have been elected President:
  • Obama
  • Biden
.

And only Obama did it while having served only 2 years of his first term.

My thoughts exactly. He is authoritarian, not Conservative, let alone Libertarian. He is the opposite of a Libertarian.

Authoritarian? Why then is Florida the second freest state in the nation? would the opposite be true? like in NY or CA?

An authoritarian would require child indoctrination/treatment of an ideology or sexual orientation without parental consent... a libertarian would say it's the parents who decide. Oh snap... Florida pass the parental right bill, go figure.

Why make stuff up that just isn't true?

And when did you personally talk with him about this?

Or are you claiming to be a mind reader?

Better yet - look at the numbers back in the 2016 run - show me which of them didn't eventually have to back out because they had such low numbers.

Remember, Biden was toast until South Carolina. Politics is a funny thing.
