The same legal human that would clean toilets for a living.

Not everyone is college material.

Yes I actually know someone who's sister works at a Tyson plant.
She's functional but has zero smarts and didn't finish school.
But she is a citizen and has a job while also being on welfare and can walk to work.

Actually, I do. Two people I know retired after being butchers their entire life. And they made much more than $25 an hour.

Now, I'm also assuming working in a packing plant vs being a butcher is a bit like an assembly line worker vs a skilled trades person. Not sure though.

People can already get H-2B visas to work at meat packing plants. I'm all for expanding work visa programs for unskilled labor provided that they don't bring their families here. It just ends up becoming a drain on our resources.

[quote=Malloric;66354976]The current law is an unlimited number of people without permission are allowed in every day. They just come in and say I'd like to apply for asylum and they're in.

As Malloric stated, it is under current law that they come in. Why are the Republicans resisting any attempt to change the current law?

The House already passed HR 2, and Trump kept asylum seekers out with Remain in Mexico. Biden and Mayorkas are already authorized to do many of the things in HR 2, they just refuse to do them. HR 2 would turn those authorizations into requirements. Why is Biden refusing to enforce our immigration laws?

Already done, May of last year. They passed HR 2 which the Democrats have completely ignored. What happened to "remain in Mexico" ? That seemed to have been working , keeping our system from being completely overwhelmed.
Sorry, this is completely on the Democrats.
