Russia stands as one of the top countries imprisoning journalists, with the Committee to Protect Journalists reporting at least 22 journalists incarcerated for their work as of late 2023. Additionally, Moscow has pursued arrest warrants or trials in absentia for prominent Russian journalists who sought refuge abroad at the beginning of the conflict. Notably, among those currently detained in Russia are two American journalists: Evan Gershkovich, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, who has been held since March, and Alsu Kurmasheva, an editor at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, who has been in custody since October.

Russia is a dangerous place for journalists overall. Probably not as dangerous as being a journalist covering Israel/Gaza at the moment. But ya, definitely a place where you might be at risk.
Yes, under Putin, Russia jails it's own journalists, and occasionally kills them. Vladimir Putin has been a serial killer of anyone who might oppose him, in any way - journalists, politicians, oligarchs, military officials...

Russia is an adversary of the West generally and the United States specifically, and that is the direction from Vladimir Putin. Putin controls the Russian media rigidly and he's engineered many anti-democratic changes in the Russian constitution. The Kremlin has threatened the US and Europe with nuclear attack multiple times under Putin.

That people want to consume Putin's propaganda, spoon-fed to them by Tucker Carlson, is bizarre. Some people are very malleable.

So Clinton wouldn’t allow Russia to join NATO and CIA runs the country.

His "people" wouldn't allow it. Originally he was open to it. Those same people are in charge of every president. Trump wouldn't listen to them often enough and look at how they have reacted.

Edit: I see you edited your post and you understood that.

We can’t even handle things stateside, it’s comical for us to think we can handle world things in reality.

He’s speaking common sense. Biden hasn’t talked to him in years, he couldn’t even recall the last time he did. He makes fun of our border and debt.
