Gov. Kathy Hochul said on Wednesday that she would deploy National Guard soldiers and State Police officers to the New York City subway system, where they will patrol platforms and help check bags.

Ms. Hochul said she would deploy 1,000 members of the authority, the State Police and the National Guard to “conduct bag checks in the city’s busiest stations.”

Wow, this is how you know its an election year.

When Trump threatened to send in the feds, folks were outraged, yet here the left is doing it.

Weren't we told that crime is down or that it's always been like this?

They are going to perform bag checks.............?
My mind is clicking and I sure hope that NYC did not catch wind of a pending terrorist attack and this is how they are trying to stop it.

Is the problem what people are carrying in their bags or is it what they carry in their hearts? In other words a disdain for our Laws and the Rights of others to go about their day without being harassed, mugged, beat up, stabbed, shot and left for dead.

What is next for NYC. Martial Law? Oh yeah that will go over well.

This isn't happening! We have New York City residents are saying crime "isn't that bad". (This is a cope for being unable to admit that Democrats are killing New York City.)

Crime was under control with Mr. Giuliani and Mr. Bloomberg. Crime skyrockets with Democrats in charge. These are the facts of life...

Yes, the common answer from urban leftists is that crime is “just part of living in a city” and if you are concerned about it, it means something is wrong with YOU.

I also remember when President Trump offered to provide assistance to Portland and was widely mocked. But, I’m sure Kathy Hochul will be portrayed in legacy media as a strong, forward-thinking, wonderful leader.

Yes and Charles Bronson too.

If crime gets any worse we will see average citizens becoming vigilantes. Of course the Elected don't like that so if they are caught they will face far worse than the criminal that just tried to rob, rape, stab, shoot and possibly murder them.
