Joe Biden
@JoeBiden
On Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate the joy, strength, and absolute courage of some of the bravest people I know.
Today, we show millions of transgender and nonbinary Americans that we see them, they belong, and they should be treated with dignity and respect.

If I were really interested in spreading the news through Trans Visibility Day (I'm not), I certainly wouldn't make it on a holiday like Easter.
Transgender Day of Visibility 2024 also occurred during Ramadan. I don't see anyone getting upset over that.

No one's saying Biden didn't sign the proclamation; he did, just as he has done so in previous years when Transgender Day of Visibility was March 31 but not on Easter. The sticking point in the discussion seems why Transgender Day of Visibility 2024 was on Easter Sunday 2024, which is pure coincidence. Biden no more controls when Transgender Day of Visibility is observed than he controls the lunar calendar that dictates when Easter Sunday is observed.
Yeah, we all get that. But if you don't want pushback, it doesn't seem smart in the first place to pick a date which every so often will be Easter, or every so often will be Thanksgiving, or Mother's Day, or any other movable major holiday. Make it land on the second Friday in August or some other equally useless time. March 31 was a dumb choice.
It should be in June since the whole month is designated pride month.
You are intentionally ignoring and deflecting from the fact that Joe denied signing it. That, is what this thread is about. Seems you have your own "safe space" going on.
FWIW, I don't really care when they want to celebrate their holidays. But if our government wants to keep religion out then they should keep this out too...just let trans/LGBTQ+ celebrate without government fanfare.
The government doesn’t keep religion out.
I just saw Biden at the Easter Egg Roll on telly this morning. They decorate the White House for Christmas.
Amongst all the various days proclaimed for whatever, why shouldn’t the White House recognise LGBTQ+ stuff?
So what? I would wager very few people actually saw a visible transgender.
Except for maybe the most visible of transgenders, Caitlyn Jenner, who’s visibly out decrying the Transgender Day of Visibility, with absolutely zero self awareness, just pulling that ladder up out of reach.

"I didn't do that," Biden said in response to a question about his signing of the proclamation designating Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.
Philip Wegmann reports when asked about officially proclaiming trans visibility day for the same time as Easter, Biden denied doing it.
Says people who say he did are thoroughly uninformed when pushed on it. When further pushed on it, Biden point blank says he didn't proclaim a trans visibility day on the same day as Easter.
Biden's official White House website and his social media has him in his own name doing an official proclamation.
This is likely dementia and not political wordsmithing. Obama never proclaimed an official trans visibility day from the WH. He made a choice or his handlers did to make it on Easter instead of the day before or not at all.
