Boy, what a dumb statement your friend made. Do you really take that half-witted nonsense seriously.

Let's see. You're an average, middle class person. It doesn't matter whether you are black, white, latino, or asian. You are dressed in professional attire. You're in a bad part of town in the middle of the night. Your car dies on you.

Now. Who do you want to see driving up the road? The LAPD? Or a bunch of thugs?

If you're honest in the least, we all know how you'll answer the question.

I'm done with this thread. Anyone one who'd choose the criminals over cops is either insane or a criminal themselves. I'll waste no more time on this issue. If I have a problem I'll call the cops and they'll show up and help me as much as humanly possible. GOOD LUCK BBUTREL I feel sorry for you. Like I said earlier if it is so bad where you live move. By the way BButrel can you teach me how to qoute multiple people in a response? Haven't been able to figure that one out yet.

I can't speak for the NY or the LA PD, but I can speak for my two brothers-in-laws and my brother who were county sheriffs and city policemen; no!

Your post reminded of the the 1960s and the bumper stickers that read, "Next time you're in trouble, call a hippie." A new sticker in this Obama age might read, ""Next time you're in trouble, call a gang banger."

Yes, indeed. Gang bangers get right to the task at hand. No fooling around with those "Miranda Rights". etc....and no way to complain to the "head gangbanger" if one of his 'guys' gets out of line...

Notice that blacks are said to be the biggest haters of cops but stats show that they call the police way more than their per centage of population in the nation. In fact looking at what is going on in DC with black support in neighborhoods is kind of scary.
