Don't expect a Democrat or a Republican to have the interests of Middle-Class America at heart, they don't.

On one end, you have those who want people to work for their money but instead they promote illegal alien, and third world immigration floods for labor interests and their stock prices as well as stealing our liberties and freedoms under the guise of "terrorism" (which could be solved if we didn't have such a ridiculous Middle East policy and Israel actually allowed Palestinians to be free).

Then on the other end we have those who want Middle Class America to pay the way of those who sit around and pump out kids all day. It's easy for the Democrats, especially those in power, to want welfare programs and handouts because many of them never had to work for their money but instead inherited it. The staunchest Democrat I know inherited millions, it's always easy to claim for higher taxes and handouts when you've never had to work for anything.

Democrats & Republicans, two sides of the same coin. Neither care about Middle Class America.

As for Bush, he could always claim "diminished capacity" due to substance abuse, claiming that he was unable to function as president because of alcohol abuse (and possible cocaine abuse?) In any case, this would also necessitate his removal from office on grounds of insufficient mental health for the job.

In Clinton's case, adultery is not a crime unless you're in Michigan or you're a member of the armed forces on active duty. It certainly is not of sufficient gravity to be an impeachable offense. No one was hurt by Clinton's actions. I do think Clinton should have known better and taken the fifth, but the idea of impeaching a president for adultery was a national embarrassment (and showed how desperate Kenneth Starr was -although some loony left types claimed that Clinton could have been impeached for "war crimes" - surprised Starr didn't pick up upon that wackjob idea)
It's were his mind was during his time in office. If you are having many affairs and trying to keep it from his wife who is also, a big figure in the White House. How much time do you think he had to give to the real issues?
The dude had a sex addiction not many can get much done when that's all their thinking and doing!!

Nuclear power would be undesirable for safety and security reasons.

To go off on a slight tangent, exactly what is it with Republicans and their desire to draw limits and pass comments on everyone else's sex lives? Their obsession with this is very unnatural and makes for some very prudishly wacky religious right-ish policies and attitudes, not to mention it's very transparent and hypocritical (Foley, Haggard, etc.)...

What's in the closet is easy to hide, I reckon and perhaps like Haggard and Foley they have to pay for it!

The anger might just be sheer frustration!

Just had to add this, a newsarticle on the dismissal of a teacher for teaching "real" anatomy, here:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070127/ap_on_re_us/anatomy_lesson (broken link)

With this kind of mentality, the mentality of denial, of course Americans are concerned with other people's hygiene, sexual behavior and make it more important than the issues that truly affect their lives or their death!

Speaking of entertainment, I hear GWB is addicted to video games -- and we all KNOW how addicting those can be.

Did anyone notice that Las Vegas Dude wrote posts in the same slant as TNlove???? There was a similarity between both in the topics they addressed and how they addressed them... I'm curious now that he's been banned if the two are one and the same!

One of the classic 'symptoms' of fascism.
~sigh~
