It should be obvious. God does not like certain people and does all he can to keep them poor. The ones that god likes get financial favors.
So when, after getting that college degree, making the investment recommended by everyone, you are still broke, it's God's will? Lets the politicians off the hook!

This is interesting, because I was having a conversation with a friend of mine recently and we both came to the same conclusion: that if there was ever going to be another Hitler in the developed / western world, it would most likely happen in the United States. The seeds are already there for a charismatic leader to come along and galvanize the hatred and the desire to weed out certain elements of society, i.e. the poor, liberals, the mentally ill, immigrant groups and homosexuals. I truly believe that many who post here regularly (and in the outside world) admire the Oklahoma Bomber, but they aren't quite ready to come out and admit it, although they are not so far from doing so.

There seems to be more opposition to the "Occupy" movement than there is towards the Westboro Baptist Church, or far right radical groups. I don't care for the Occupy stuff myself, but I don't get the disgust directed towards it either.

The venom of many Americans is unique to America and quite scary, from a neutral standpoint. This country seems to be begging for the kind of chaos found in Germany pre-WW2. I only hope that I'm long gone before the brown stuff hits the fan.

Or maybe they didn't donate a large enough financial 'love gift' to an evangelistic organization.

Then one of the plants moved to Poland, one of the plants was purchased by a competitor and closed down, one was moved to China, and the last one....a GM plant, was closed down completely. Now thousands of people who had done everything they thought was right are out of work. Some have never been able to find another job and the rest are working for low wages...sometimes 2 or 3 low wage jobs. These jobs have no insurance and are often temporary. Many of these people re-trained for other jobs when they were first unemployed...only to find that there were simply NO jobs....in any field available.

Now these same people who said that the poor were all lazy slobs who just made poor decisions and didn't work hard enough have lost their homes, their cars, and everything for which they worked and are receiving food stamps and medicaid. They are still the same people that they were before they lost everything. They didn't change....their situation did. And guess what....this can happen to each and every one of us. Send not to ask for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee. And pretending to yourself that you can control everything that will ever happen in your life won't change it.

Not sure why you thought that post was worth a "damn skippy?"

Not even your "monkey" ancestors were stupid enough to stay somewhere where their livelihood and ability to feed themselves was at risk.
