This does not bode well. In the 1930s, people who were down and out quietly endured it because they knew they were all going down together and the last crust of bread would be divided among everybody they knew. If anydody had anything, it was for the good of all. These are people who grew up in communities where sharing and cooperation were the only way of life that they knew.

How things have changed. Now, the dominant profile of the American people has been switched to personal and individual greed, in which many, or most people will grab, by force if necessary, not just the last crust of bread, but the entire bakery, all for himself. This will not go unnoticed by strong and angry men who, thanks to the people who stole the bakery, have guns. It will not be pretty.

A spirit of cooperation has been replaced by a spirit of competition. There won't be much bread to go around, but there will be plenty of ammo.

Excellent analysis and reps to you, unfortunately. You are dead on. We've changed as a country. Remember that movie Wall Street which surfaced in the Reagan era wherein Greed Was Good? I am afraid you have nailed it here.

Handiwork of the right-wing wedge-drivers. At it in earnest since the 1970's. It's sad to contemplate the numbers that have been lost to them. It would have been all but unimagineable not so many years ago. But perhaps the vast and still growing carnage that these assorted Rasputin's have delivered us into will end in serving as a wake-up call to some...

Hmm, a right winger. Can you find words in your own language to explain this, in your own words?

Gaad, here is where I lose patience! Take a chance on thinking and explaining fer chrissakes!

Taxes are not there for punishment.

Just think what you do by going on as a welfare president. The 40% that pay no taxes at all will jump on that band wagon blindly knowing they will get money. How will they get money by the taxes from people above them. They end up with a negative tax rate. Why would those people jump on the band wagon so quickly and blindly? It's not out of compassion. Then all you need to do is convince 11% of the nation above that and shabam! out comes 95% of America will not see an increase. No matter what they sell you hat ya can't see can hurt ya . Why not look up welfare? Then look up welfare reform and ask yourself or just find out the results of why the program needs reform and continues to.

Your false assumption is trying to put a price on what some people are worth. Then you take your moral high ground by thinking everything other than your thoughts are wrong.

And you make absolutely NO sense.
