The House GOP plan places a smaller tax burden on citizens, small businesses and corporations so they can create (and, in some cases, eliminate) positions as they see fit. This recovery plan can, potentially, spend the same as the Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined in one fell swoop! It's a big package and Obama is taking a huge risk by trying to get it through so quickly. He wants to sign it within the next 3 weeks.
it looks like thats whats been happening, the cost of afghanistan too much combine with iraq and both should end. bush kept saying we need more money and where did all that money go?

What do you need an "Assault" Weapon for? Is a pistol not enough for self protection and a high powered rifle not enough to bring down a deer from a mile away?
Perhaps Im missing something....
I am impressed by the manufactured rage over Obama during the past week and the dramatic prophesies that have been posted over and over again.
I have to ask those who are so quick to judge; what if Obama manages to reverse the economy in the next couple of years? What if Obama keeps us safe during his term? And what if Obama increases your personal freedoms with regards to gun ownership or government surveilence?
If he does so without raising your taxes and without invading your privacy will you vote for his re-election in 2012 or would you vote against him based on party line ideology?
If he does a good job in my judgment sure I'd vote for him.

What your missing is that many legal rifles shoot the same as the assult rife but just look differant, the assult rife ban is based on apperance, if it looks scarry then it is illegal, many people like the look of these rifles, they shoot them at the same range and purpose as I shoot my rifles.
An example is that I own a mini 14, semi auto .223 caliber the same as many of the assult rifles but mine is legal because it looks unlike a assult rifle.
