Maybe it would be too quick?
Texas prisons aren't exactly Disneyland. I have some good ideas about what it will be like for those two in there (don't drop the soap!)

I think it must be drugs, too....and no church....and I definitely blame the education system (dont want to fight about that though!). If these "kids" had any reason to suffer through school other than to socialize and break up the 24 hours of soaking up advertising and chasing after "fun" - well things would be different that's all. Thinking of Caylee Anthony's "mother" here too.

People without centers....brrrr.....
Not to take the focus off this tragedy, but does a statement like this not inherently refute religion as purely a centering device?

Please keep in mind that there are plenty of people, myself included, with no relationship with any deity that have no reason or desire to commit such atrocities.

Why are you so obsessed with Obama? You and CrestView. Every time I read a post, it is about you bashing Obama with something that has nothing to do with him. Why did you post that link? I really hate having to type in all caps to you all the time but you just don't get it. So here we go, for the third time, OBAMA IS A PRO CHOICE PRESIDENT. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!

This is not an abortion debate. And unlike you, I can see what the other side thinks. I respect people who are pro life. I can understand it. It is their right to be how they want to be. Just like I have the right to be pro choice...and I am.

So, no death penalty for these roaches. Could not Texas institute a torture penalty for them? I could think of plenty of ways to reward them for their deed.

Some people were offended by "no church" - I just meant grounding in their lives. Faith is an excellent example of something that can ground you. I certainly did not mean that people who dont go to church are likely to beat on their kids.

Thanks for clarifying that -- I would have been very surprised if you had meant it in a negative way, but I had to put it out there that the non religious aren't more likely to beat their kids

And you are right, people do need to be grounded in one form or another, and I certainly have no problem with people who find it through religion. Many, many good things come from those who are religious and I do agree that religion a great way for people to have a moral compass.
In the case of these people though, there moral compass was themselves alone with no thought of others. Narcissism makes for a **** poor religion as we have seen.

This woman is less than human and should be treated as such. She is nothing but a monster and deserves to be tortured and beaten as she did her child.
