Can I back it up with fact? It's common sense! Ask any business owner. Take an economics course. Do a little fact-finding yourself!
When businesses pay more taxes, they have to increase sales to make the same amount of money (for the owners and the CEO) so they have to hire MORE people to produce MORE goods and services.

Somebody above said it: You stimulate the economy by giving more money to more people so they can spend it buying things!

The last eight years produced a steaming pile of elephant poo. What preceded that was an ideology of expanded government, increased spending, and waging two wars simultaneously, all while cutting taxes. The era of irresponsibility is now over and it's time to pay the tab. Tough **** if you don't like it.

Hahahaha!!! Lordy, lordy!!! You say businesses "have to increase sales to make the same amount of money...". Yes, true! And if they don't increase sales do you have any idea what the owners will do (AND HAVE ALREADY STARTED DOING)? They cut cost by first reducing inventory...and then by firing employees!

With our government giving [working] people an extra $13 a week ($8.00 a week in 2010) do you really think this is going to increase sales for most businesses? Sure it will!!! How about businesses that do not deal with the public, but instead do business with other businesses?

You need to wake up! Think!

Yes! And if they cannot make money -- they go OUT OF BUSINESS!!

The only people who profit with marginal businesses being allowed to keep working are the OWNERS of those marginal businesses. They usually profit because they "***** their workers.

If owners don't make money off a business, they close it down. Then they don't make any money at all so they have to do something else to make money. The idea that they somehow profit by having no business is *just really really stupid.* You either have a business and you pay the taxes on it or you don't have a business and you don't have to worry about taxes. There is no "in-between." If you can't make money and you close, you don't make money by being closed. Only an idiot would believe that!

You're all mixed up pal. One reason why a business owner might not make enough money to stay in business is because he must pay higher taxes! Get it?

Your convoluted way of thinking makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Agreed, especially as the majority of small businesses won't be affected adversely. I hope the taxes on businesses who send their jobs overseas and on the wealthiest 2% cause the CEOs and stockholders serious pain.
