Poor, ignorant and clueless people have been voting for more government handouts for the last 100 years. It doesn't matter if it's a Rep or Dem who controls, those people will stay and reproduce...

more Poor, Ignorant & Clueless people. Big government (no matter what party) has never been the answer.

What part of your own link did you not understand?

"Although a majority of 53% of Americans approve of the expansion of the U.S. government to help fix the current economic crisis, most of that group would like to see the government's role reduced once the crisis is over. Additionally, a majority of Americans say President Obama's proposals for government action to fix the economy involve too much government spending."

Default Tea parties were promoted by corporate-serving lobbyist, self-serving rightwing politicians, and Faux...naturally....

You said it, Grover.
The tea parties were promoted by FreedomWorks, a conservative nonprofit advocacy group based in Washington and led by former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey of Texas, who is now a lobbyist.

Organizers said the movement developed organically through online social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter and through exposure on Fox News and promotion from conservative pundits and bloggers.

While FreedomWorks insisted the rallies were nonpartisan, they have been seized on by many prominent Republicans who view them as a promising way for the party to reclaim its momentum against President Barack Obama's administration and other Democrats.[*]

"All you have to be is a mildly awake Republican candidate for office to get in front of that parade," said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform.

It's very apparent that the normal intelligent person in the US recognizes govt spending is out of control no matter what party does it. We can't afford the debt.

Good, send your donation to your local schools. I'm not willing to work my butt off to send the income to totally clueless people.

Betcha I did. I complained to anyone that would listen. His attempt at playing a Democrat was disgusting and that is why I did not voted for him his second time around. I saw very little difference between the 2 parties. Now with Obama, thank God, the gap between the 2 parties has grown. Unfortunately it is not because the Republicans are acting more like Republicans but rather Obama has went so far left. I think if this continues there will be a clear choice next time around. I am not sure that I could vote Republican but hopefully this is a wake up call for the party.
