I am conservative. I am not a hypocrite. christian conservatives are hypocrites who talk about small government in our lives, but banning marriage. most libertarians are the same. we think the way republicans used to think, back when republicans earned their way onto mount rushmore.

Now when will you manage to get beyond my get even that goes back to 1976? Surely you can get even, also.

No, you answered no in the poll because you aren't going to attend a tea party.

However, I now wish I could go to yours, dressed in a tea dress and a big red sponge nose, carrying a sign like "My kids can't pay for this - they've got an illegal war to pay for!"

Just to see your tough-guy reaction.

Interesting. One year ago Bush was soundly criticized, rightfully so, for out of control spending. Now that your team is up at bat, out of control spending is smart.

Looks to me that the sudden change in values is idiocy.

Not all the same. I disagree with everyone at some point.

During these events, if we could replace the hateful buffoonery with a few eloquent speakers, effectively and actually demonstrating a valid disposition instead of yahooing last-minute mantras...
it is too easy to ridicule the protesters when it feels more like a bandwagon sideshow.

But I'm all for a good show. All for naught?

The protest demonstrations are sour grapes because you assume they will block streets, hinder traffic and stuff will end up broken.

Ok, if that makes sence to you.

I'm gunna be at my local one and I'm hoping it'll be full of new ideas and revised old ones. I doubt it will get over taken by idiots. There should be enough like minded people there to hold the peace together. The conservatives, the real ones, need a new movement. <-----and by that I mean a return to out ROOTS, real conservatism. We NEED NEW REPRESENTATION.
www.Rebuildtheparty.com is another good starting point. No repubics please.

And yet still no one has identified how this is relevant to the original tea party.

It's more what they didn't do. We've spent or authorized so much money over the past three months that I have actually lost count. The amounts are staggering and yet no one seem to know where it went or where it's going. Our elected officials don't even read the bills so they don't have a clue either. But this recent trend in spending is a Democrat monster. It a huge scam, a reverse version of starving the beast and the reason I believe we could get really get hit with oppressive taxes in the near future. That you cannot blame on the Republicans.
