You truly do not have a problem paying for something you have no intention of using?
I'm confused by that. If you went to the grocery store and were charged for a lb of ground beef that you did not buy would you not complain to the manager and have it removed from your bill?
so you shouldn't have to pay for schools you might not use, or for roads and highways that you don't use? in america no one should have to go without health care or food. I really don't care how much it costs

I really don't care that you really don't care; however, I do care that it's going cost a lot of futures. And I don't think I should have to pay for schools of any kind because I don't have any children who will be attending any of them. Never had children. How deep are your pockets, BTW?

You need to make a distinction between health care and health insurance. While many do not have health insurance (for a variety of reasons) no one is denied essential health care in this country.

Thank you!
Agreed no one in this country is denied healthCARE. While it may not be where we want it to be, or when we want it to be we will never be denied.
Anyone needing healthcare is welcome to go to the county and state hospitals if they can not afford to go to other hospitals. Even on a level of simply needing something like a pap smear, women can go to county health departments and get that. We can also get vaccines there.
Thats not much different than the care that we will recieve under Obamacare.

Do you complain about paying for roads you'll never drive on, a fire department whose services you may never use, and so on ? Bad analogy there.

It's probably a good thing you're getting this done, but don't believe all the scare tactics.

Not every county health dept offers paps, pre-natal, well baby, stuff like that. Most do offer immunizations, but you are asked to pay if you can. The county and state hospitals (again, not every county has a "county" hospital, will send you a bill for your treatment. If they know you have no insurance, your treatment will be different than if you do. Hospitals that receiver federal funds are required to not turn anyone away from the ER, and must render life-saving treatment. They are not required to provide any follow-up care once the life-threatening emergency is over.
I'm curious to know how much money is paid in total to insurance companies from individuals and employers per year nationwide. I would also like to know of all the moneys collected what is the percentage spent on direct health care or how is the money spent. I've read 5%-10% total is spent on health care itself, the rest on overhead and profit. Is this true?

That's probably right. Health care costs started skyrocketing when insurance got into the picture.
When you only had insurance for hospital procedures costs were reasonable.
obama's "health care plan" will be worse than the treatment Veterans receive at VA hospitals.
You can be sure he and other politicians will get better health care than his proposed "health care plan" offers.
From one who knows, government healthcare for the most part is beyond atrocious, it is downright scary. Doc in Chief will have much shuffling and gnashing of teeth to do, when thousands of doctors leave the profession....when there is ALREADY a shortage. And with millions more suckers (sorry, patients) coming on board, oh what will poor DocBam do?
