Sanford once cited "moral legitimacy" when he was a congressman voting for President Bill Clinton's impeachment — and became a darling of fiscal conservatives over his ideological opposition to federal stimulus cash.
He now faces a host of legal and ethical questions. The state's top senator questioned whether Sanford broke the law when he disappeared for several days on trip to South America and didn't transfer power to the lieutenant governor.
The website TMZ has been digging, here is some of their report, sounds like two kids in heat....

- Carlos Soto, the owner of Guido's Bar, says he's seen Sanford and Maria Belen Chapur there several times over the last few months -- most recently last week. Soto says they were "all over each other" last week in his bar, "kissing, holding hands and drinking wine." Soto was impressed with Maria, saying she has "un cuerpazo'" -- translation: a banging body.

We now have him abandoning his post, cheating on his wife, leaving an email trail that his children will have difficulties living down, and charging the whole thing to South Carolina where he is supposed to be the chief steward of its resources.
Sorry, folks. It's not a partisan thing. Sanford is a crook, a cheat, and a liar. I simply cannot for the life of me figure out how anyone can defend or excuse such behavior from anyone. If he were in the private sector he would have been toast a week ago.
Hopefully he will disappear quietly, although Lt. Governor Andre Bauer has plenty of baggage himself having been caught speeding and let off with a warning after mentioning he might have a gun in the glove box. The next time he was stopped two months later he was going over 100 mph.
Anybody want a good used state? We'll let it go cheap.

Oh I don't know. They're both pigs but at least Clinton stayed where he would be handy in case he was needed.
Clinton is an utter POS. He could have easily been blackmailed if that poor girl, and yes, she was a young girl...and intern in the White House...had gotten her feelings hurt and got under the wing of any number of evil people.
