First of all what Sanford did was wrong and stupid, wrong for leaving the family on Fathers Day and cheating. Stupid for leaving the state that he was in charge of and not telling people where he is going or how long he will be gone...Why do Republicans on this board are defending him is beyond me...quit using this bs that a Dems do it to, thus this is okay...this is never okay and who ever defends this idiotic behavior is a dumbass.

This always puzzles me. How can a person throw away their children's respect, the faith of their spouse, the career they have spent decades building, the faith and respect of their friends and family, and their own self-respect for something that probably lasted 5 minutes if that? Maybe a 14 year old boy thinks sex is that important but by the time a man is almost 50 should he not have a more mature and realistic outlook on what is really important in life?
Thsi has gone on since after Keeendy was presdient. Before this much of it was hidden by the press or keenedy and others would never have become president. You can look at both parties and see that those thinl they are the elite have different standards for themelves as opposed to others.
