I only ask this because this a clear case of a hate crime. Yet neither of the 2 suspects were charged with a hate crime or with civil rights violations. Basically a black lady was killed because she married a non black and the non black man's father hated it and hired a black "hitman" to kill his daughter-in-law. So why no "hate crime" charges here? Why no Federal Civil Rights prosecution here? Where the hell is justice here??

The protected classes in the hate crimes laws are pretty clear-cut. I imagine it might have been a presecutorial decision to avoid trying to prove it in court. That was probably a headache that the prosecutor didn't want to take on.

Why would the two get charged? Only the father might, not the hitman, as he wouldn't care what race the target was.

Many times, the federal charges are not brought up, as a 'just in case' plan, if the trial goes in favor of the defendant.

Dark skinned blacks can be racist of light skinned ones. So yes it could be considered a hate crime in my book.

All crimes can be considered hateful.
Other than political correctness, why is a seperate genre of crime neccesary?

A skin color can't commit a crime. A human commits a crime. We don't prosecute "thought crimes" in this country.

What's black? The guy who hired the hitman was Indian, he orders that murder for racial reasons. Is it a hate crime, yeah, does it fit the criteria for hate crime prosecution, I don't know and I really don't care to research it. As for the hitman and the original question. He was killing for money not hate, he was not motivated by racial animus thus the question and the thread are pretty dumb.

I have to agree with you and I'm seeing a pattern.
