Yes, my understanding is that she would have to resign to keep the profits from a book. Her role as governor prevents her from making a WHOLE lot of money--from the book, from speaking engagements (not having to do with Alaska), etc. My guess is that SP simply decided she wasn't having fun any more, and was straining at the restrictions put upon her as governor. She's simply through with Alaska since it no longer serves her political goals or financial needs.

Why does Palin make herself out to be the victim, when during the election campaign, she pretty much accused Barack Obama of being a terrorist, which could have created a very dangerous backlash. We know she hates the "gotcha" media, but she would have had no problem using them to her advantage, had things been different.

To Mrs. Palin, I would say "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen". It seems that she can dish it out, but she can't take it.

Politics aside, this lady is not fit to be anywhere near the White House, ever!

Default Rove: Palin playing with "risky strategy"

Rove: Palin playing with 'risky strategy' - More politics- msnbc.com

Quote:
WASHINGTON - One of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's potential presidential rivals said Sunday that her abrupt resignation won't help her dodge scrutiny. President George W. Bush's chief political adviser said her strategy is, at best, unclear.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Palin's announcement that she would not seek a second term — and leave office before finishing her first — simply doesn't make sense in a conventional political setting. Karl Rove, a longtime Bush counselor, said Palin has engaged in a "risky strategy."

She's fit to be cleaning it, but that's about it.

Unfortunately, she doesn't have a brain.

Thanks, but no thanks.

She quit so suddenly cuz she wants to grab Obama by the balls and keep him in check. Obama will have a shark swimming in his midst with the name of Sarah Palin...

I think the liberal establishment is terrified of Palin. That's why they focus so much energy on cutting her down.

If you are so appreciative of pathologically power-hungry narcissists like Sarah Palin, perhaps you should move to Cuba?
