Ok ... Would you care to share with me why you did not interpret that post as an insult? Not everyone in America has jumped aboard the sexual bandwagon so should we all move to Saudia Arabia because we have a different opnion about what is appropriate in public? If you had reread my earlier posts, you would have seen that I wasn't just singling out the gay parades but indicated that all parades (including Mardi Gras) that are sexualized should be kept on private property.
My My My! Interesting how you are showing your fangs because I voice my concerns about innocent folks stumbling upon gay parades (tourists who are unfamiliar with the area, for example). I think our culture has become oversexualized and it's time that we go back to some common decency! I guess that's a foreign concept for someone who works in the porno industry right AUM!
It takes a lot of tolerance to live in a free society. I guess that's a foreign concept for someone who spends inordinate amounts of time judging others and attempting to restrict peoples' freedoms.
I don't relate to the world you want to live in, but I'm sure that most Americans wouldn't want to be a part of it.

I believe in freedom but decency laws should be upheld!
All I stated was that you merely agreed with terminology used by doctors and scientists of whom were referenced. This isn't a w-l debate. Get over yourself.
You said to me:
"You're sadly confused with the terminology."
I still don't know what you meant. Your statement above doesn't explain it.
And I don't know what you mean by "Get over yourself" either. All I did was ask you what you meant.
The comment was made because you're confusing sexual orientation and sexual preference with your definition of "choice", or having the choice to be attracted to someone of the same or opposite sex, which is why you then referenced sexual orientation links in one of your previous posts.

No, I wouldn't care to do that. I read it differently. That's all I'm saying about it.

I didn't say anything about Saudi Arabia, so you'll have to address your question to the person who did.
Regarding the public events being discussed, they take place in San Francisco, probably the most sexually-liberal city in the United States. We have a vast array of opinions and values in this country. If you want to get all worked up about an event that takes place one day a year in a city that is hundreds of miles away from where you live, then go for it. I don't concern myself with things like that. I really do believe in social freedom and the right for individuals to behave as they please as long as they are not interfering with the rights of others to do the same. As long as it's not affecting me directly, it doesn't bother me, whether it's a sex parade in San Francisco, or a religious revival in Waco, Texas.

None of what you've said makes sense to me. Sorry.
One bit of advice: Learn to use the "Quote" button. It makes it easier for everyone to know who you're talking to.

The problem is that the gay parades aren't all in SF. We have them down here in So Cal as well (Long Beach, etc) and I've been fortunate not to have stumbled upon them by accident. As many posters stated, there are gay parades in other states, even the conservative ones such as Texas. Also ... The last I heard, Mardi Gras does not take place in SF but in New Orleans.
