No, it's two-faced, hypocritical thug politics. They get mad when their plays get used against them from their own play book so they demonize and label and make social discourse the enemy. When that doesn't work, they send out the brown shirts to get them to see the light. Total thug Chicago politics. I left Chicago years ago b/c of this crap, and now it's nationwide. That's what happens when you elect a President schooled by the Daley/Chicago machine.

Default The French have a saying...

- "Qui s'excuse, s'accuse" - he who excuses himself accuses himself. And MAN, was that a lenghty excuse.

If you deliberately disrupt a public meeting, you're showing yourself to be an uncivilized boor and should be shown the door until you can disagree with others in an adult manner. Simple as that.

Would you like me to repeat it?" can, if nothing else, bring the Congressman to a better response, or draw audience attention to the fact that he's avoiding an answer. The shouting is a turn-off, not just of the Congressmen who is being stopped from speaking. It also turns-off the audience and any empathy that might be generated. Do you really want the audience withdrawing as well as the elected officials?
I appreciate this point of view. The problem is that the fact that the Congressman is avoiding or not answering the question DOESN'T need to be pointed out to the audience. They already know. However, the point that the audience KNOWS he's not answering the question, does need to be expressed to the Congressman. And to have these guys bob, weave, and treat the people as if they're naive, FRUSTRATES and INSULTS them. I'm not saying disruption is a good thing, but there is no doubt as to where the people stand, instead of a Congressman giving you the canned answer and you being quiet and just taking it. These guys say they welcome feedback. Well, they don't get to choose what kind or because it gets a little hard and uncomfortable, that they back out of the meetings al together because they can't take a little heat. They have their talking points but they're not telling people anything new. People don't like what's going on and Congressmen can't avoid that. I think they should be a bit worried about their jobs. The nation has been complacent long enough. Wasn't it Hillary Clinton who said that "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism"? Or is that only if you're on the "right" side?

Seems like you guys are missing the point! Insurance Carriers are fighting for their lives because they know that if Health Care Reform passes they will be Accountable for the all the claims they deny and the premiums they increase while cutting back on benefits. This is the real issue folks.
STOP PLAYING INTO THEIR HANDS--THEY WANT YOU TO ARGUE ABOUT POLITICS AND LOOSE YOUR FOCUS.

Do you enjoy making your insurance carrier rich while your mother, daughter, sister, brother, friend co-worker dies while the insurance company decides if they should get the treatment they need or not? Do you think it is ok for your insurance company to be telling your doctor what he can and cannot do?

Enough is Enough! We need Health Care Reform NOW!

No. Bring it on. I'm simply pointing out that it's interesting how it's only fair for the left.

As the system stands now, one still has a choice. Once the gubmint takes over and drives the insurance companies out of business (and yes, this will eventually happen as your post obviously points out) then there will be NO WHERE else to go----well, okay, maybe India.
