It was no secret that Hitler was indignant towards capitalism and free market principles. Additionally, Soviets commissars tried to inspire their troops to "fight for the motherland". Both had expansionist and totalitarian policies. Both tried to decimate capitalism through price controls and cronyism. The Nazis were just more clever going about it, as they pretended to act capitalist in everyday life to appear like they were the "good guys" against the evil Soviet empire. Similar to how the left and right pretend to fight with each other, but in reality work together on many issues.

Evidently... Just another case of political hardliners using vets as a weapon.

Actually, it's more just icing on the cake. The stinging reminder that Pelosi was the one who started off with the "Nazi" charge should be the central focus of his thesis.

I'm not arguing the point, but I want to know which countries you are referring to, as I personally know of none that do not offer some sort of compensation unless it is a militia working by free will against another government (meaning an uprising) or one that quite frankly offers no alternative. You are speaking of a honorable soldier veteran, right? Not just some fluffy community service...

I value the service our Military provides and do not think servicemen should be categorized as if they were only as useful as the slacker bagging diapers P/T at Walmart. That's just my opinion...

So you have the commie there whining about the government staying away from his kids and whatever else, but when payday comes, he's right there in line with his hand out, demanding the money that the government STOLE from me and every other taxpayer through COERCION, taking it like the MARXIST that he is.

Funny how ignorant and two-faced some people are that they claim they don't want socialism even while they're benefiting directly from socialism.

You know, in many other nations, people serve their nation for no pay. Did this guy do that? Or did he take full advantage of the socialist program where the government coercively steals from others to put money in his pocket???

I guess his point is that socialism is only OK when HE says it's OK, and it's not OK when he disagrees with it.
As One who served I take exception to what you say.
1. Those who serve earn their checks.
2. Those who serve actuall sacrifice something those who don't serve never had to. Their freedom.
3.Unlike most entitlment programs Those who serve have a valid function.
Please enlighten the rest of us. Which countries exactly pay nothing to their soldiers?
I can't think of a single country who pays their uniformed soldier nothing.

I'm going to reiterate some of the valid points my colleagues have made in this thread.

- Tort reform: disable the ambulance chasers and trial lawyers that cause doctors to pay 50% of their salaries in malpractice insurance which skyrockets the cost of health care.

- Reform Medicare: eliminate the fraud and corruption that Medicare exhibits which also drives up cost.

- Eliminate interstate restrictions: Insurance companies can get away with charging so much because of a lack of competititon, if people could buy health care across state lines, the options would be limitless and costs woul be affordable to the middle class.

- Wean ourselves off of employer-based insurance.

Here is how I describe this left wing mobster and what the left wing idiots such as Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the criminals are doing to our country.

Coming to a town near you. The liberals are running things and this is what you will get real soon if you are lucky.

A government that takes control of the nation's private financial institutions;
A government that takes control of the nation's private automobile industry;
A government that takes control of the nation's private health care; and
A government that proposes registering and licensing all private firearms.

Now which nation am I describing - Present day USA under the Affirmative Action President or 1930s NAZI Germany under Chancellor Hitler?

...

If you said "both", you would be correct.
