If Obama could not handle the heat then he needed to stay in Chicago.

Things would be a lot better if he did.

What a joke
When Obama reaches his 800th vacation day, oh way, this is O's first term ... ok, when he reaches 400 days ... then come back and talk to me about it.

I would still rather have Bush taking vacation at spots that are far more connected than MV than Obama in Washington spending like a drunken sailor.

Once again though, the medias double standard is in effect.

Are you serious? Talk about double standards, the Bush family are exactly the type of people you are (inexplicably) screaming about Obama vacationing with. They are rich and privileged and have been for generations -- the "elite" as it were. They are not nor ever have been "connected". These are exactly the people you are berating Obama for vacationing near.

I missed where I said anything about the "elite". Connected means connected to his job not "influence".

OK well when Bush "vacationed" he was just going HOME to Crawford or Camp David.

AND calling Kennedy one of his best friends is a joke. If he is such a BEST FRIEND then why isn't Obama cancelling a few days of his vacation and heading to Arlington for the burial? No he is just flying in for a couple hours and reading a speech and then flying out and returning to his vacation.

Calling them best friends is a joke. All Obama liked Kennedy for was what Kennedy could do for him.

He's got visitors and advisors coming and going as well as teleconferencing probably 18+ hours a day. This is battle planning and he's being given his orders. Trust me, he'll come off this "vacation" exhausted.
