Hiknapster, this thread isn't about that aspect of unions. This is about their influence on government. It's also about business forming their own "unions" and influencing government.

I have read the entire thread, and I do understand that, but FranktheTank was talking about the unions influence on employees and companies, and I was responding to it.

My Dad worked for a union for 35 years. I was pro-union until I was represented by one. It was a real eye-opener.

Do I think that companies wield too much influence over politicians? Absolutely.
