Obama is WRONG

Uh, WHAT did Obama do that I said was wrong?

We also do not need Russia's help because, even if Iran develops nukes and a delivery system, they are no threat to us.
Not what bambam said previously;

washingtonpost.com

Quote:
"Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile activity poses a real threat, not just to the United States, but to Iran's neighbors and our allies," Obama said in that speech. "The Czech Republic and Poland have been courageous in agreeing to host a defense against these missiles."

"As long as the threat from Iran persists," Obama continued, "we intend to go forward with a missile defense system that is cost-effective and proven. If the Iranian threat is eliminated, we will have a stronger basis for security, and the driving force for missile defense construction in Europe at this time will be removed."
Iran is a threat, to the region and to the US. Nothing has changed there, except obama's rhetoric.

IMHO the Saudi's are neither our friends nor our allies. At best they are our drug (oil) pusher.

We can no longer afford, since we shipped our industrial production to China, a failing overseas empire. Time to let the rest of the world go to h*** in its own hand basket. The first step is killing this unnecessary "warning system". Next would be leaving Iraq and Afghanistan in preparation to leaving the entire Middle East. Then we could stop protecting pet dictators in South and Central America. With these costs eliminated we might have the money to pay off China or the strength to just stiff them.

Obama is all about symbolism, isn't he?

Soviet invasion of Poland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
The 1939 Soviet invasion of Poland was a military operation that started without a formal declaration of war on 17 September 1939, during the early stages of World War II, sixteen days after the beginning of the Nazi German attack on Poland. It ended in a decisive victory for the Soviet Union's Red Army.
He is leaving our allies naked and defenseless against Russian aggression.

There has never been a president so firmly ensconced on the side of the bad guys - Castro, Chavez, Ahmedinejad, Ortega and now Putin.

Maybe this will make them like us. If not we'll just give them money when we pass the cap 'n tax.

Sooner or later, I'm sure we'll get them to like us.

Germany and the Soviet Union invaded Poland at the same time. The Germans pushed the Russians out and eventually the Russians returned the favor. Poland was captive for decades until Lech Walensa started a successful revolution. We were not involved. That was a good.

Your list leaves out most of the world's bad guys. Most of them are our allies or so they say.

Quite right. Also, Ike also funded Radio Free Europe and provided weapons training to Hungarian citizens in an effort to prepare them for an uprising. When they tried in 1956 and begged for US involvement as we promised, Ike backed down and also involved himself more with the Suez canal crisis. That entangling alliance with the rebels cost us dearly, because we were expected to commit our military might and the people of that country had a lot of resentment toward us. As a result, tens of thousands of rebels engaged the enemy and lost their lives as a result, hoping and praying for US involvement.

Hmm, I can't see that I disagree with any of that, from a purely US national security stand point.

The one thing this does, is make 0bama and America look weak and indecisive, and it makes Russia look stronger and more assertive.
