Don't know how he is coping with his back pain. I watch/listen to Bill O'Reilly more than I do Rush. Are you trying to say that he never had the back pain?
Maybe his back pain healed in time, but by then he was addicted to the Oxycontin and just never got around to getting off it.

Lol, and I wouldn't compare a grotesque hate radio puppet to a hollywood entertainer, although Rush probably has his delusions of grandeur. Wasnt he convicted of the federal offense doctor shopping?, he had as much oxycontin as Jackson had of Diprivan...too bad MJ died, and Rush didn't od, where is the justice?

Now if only we could get voters to hold our government officials to the same moral standards that many of you apply to entertainers such as Limbaugh
Beck, O'Reilly,Hannity, FOX,et al., would all be out of work or in the ratings dumpster for lack of abhorent behaviours or radical agendas to discuss.

One can say the 'Left Wing' cable news can be shrill and over the top at times- but their obvious political partisanship is mostly confined to Olbermann, Maddow and Ed Shultze- the rest of MSNBC News during weekdays tries to be fair- though it is slightly left of center.

Fox News really shows itself as a mere 'tool' of Republican propaganda when even the 'weather guy' Steve Doocey interjects political jabs at the Democrats. Foxs News is in fact not News- but serves merely as an 'informational clearinghouse' of the extreme far right and their legions for the most part.

Interesting that the MSM aka "left-wing" networks showed story after story about the lies about Rush Limbaugh, but when a story about Anita Dunn telling high school students she basically admired Mao, not one of those networks picked up the story other than Fox.

Pretty much the same went for the Acorn stories, Van Jones, etc....

PostPartisan - Obama's dumb war with Fox News

Quote:
It makes the White House look weak, unable to take Harry Truman’s advice and just deal with the heat. It makes the White House look small, dragged down to the level of Glenn Beck. It makes the White House look childish and petty at best, and it has a distinct Nixonian -- Agnewesque? -- aroma at worst.

but has anyone at the White House clicked over to MSNBC recently? Or is the only problem opinion journalism that doesn’t match its opinion?
Hit the nail on the head here.

I think it's pretty clear, when you have conservative as well as liberal commentary that say the same thing - a really stupid, petty move by the whining man-child.

RealClearPolitics - Obama and his 'Enemy' Fetish

Quote:
Then Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod, trying to advance the agenda on CNN and ABC respectively, made things worse, declaring (in Axelrod's words) that Fox, far from presenting news, was "pushing a point of view."

Mercy! Push a point of view? Nobody in the news media would do that -- not Keith Olbermann, not Jon Stewart, not Rachel Maddow. Only those mean ol' conservatives at Fox would do anything so underhanded as question the means directed toward making over one-sixth of the U.S. economy!

Reality check. They were asked at the tail ends of two long interviews one question about Faux. They didnt bring Faux up, the interviewers did. They both basically shrugged and noted that Faux isnt really a news org. Axelrod added that representatives of the WH *will* go on Faux; Emanuel listed the things that *are* occupying the attention of the WH at the moment (sorry, none of them are Faux).

Check the interview transcripts and see. Faux is lying to you once more.

then how about all those 90 viagra tablets he got caught with at customs as he was going on vacation in the carribean, was that health care for the islanders? oxycontin is basically heroin and rush was and always will be a drug addict, in rehab they tell you not to even speak of recovery until you have been clean for 7 years and then he gets caught with 90 viagra tablets on a 2 week vacation? junkie. just like hollywood junkies, a lot more severe than trying pot when you are young. he is just trading one addiction for another, very common. didn't keep him from signing a new 400 million contract, i bet he really worries about his health care payments. then he bought his way out into probation where you or i would be doing some serious time getting maids and help to get and transport drugs and be his pushers.

Strange how they both worded their comments "at the end of the interviews" almost exactly the same way.... Is it possible those comments were prepared before hand?
