It IS all about the racism, the one issue that has divided this country for over 200 years and continues to divide us. Deny it all you want, but I grew up with racism in the 1950's and I know it when I see and hear it. Get a black guy in the white house and the current idiot governor of TX talks about seceding. In this video we see morons waving guns and mouthing stupid remarks about defending the constitution; a bit late for that, the Bush/Cheney/Rove crime syndicate already trashed it and your civil liberties.
That video reminds me of the stock footage we've seen for 8 years, the ones from Al Queda training camps of goons swinging from monkey bars and jumping up out of holes in the ground and of Bin Laden holding his assault weapon. Goons. One and all.

Most of the examples you listed, "Tx seceeding" is a movement that started around 2000, and gained traction with the Tx Nationalist being formed in 2007.

You are the second person, but the first moderator, to cast aspersions based on the fact that I live in Texas. If you had a clue you would know that El Paso is closer to New Mexico and Mexico than it is to the rest of Texas. El Paso is ruled by Democrats. Are you sure it's not just that you want it to be about racism? Paramilitary groups have been forming, growing, disbanding, coming and going for years. Some are racist, some aren't. Some believe the commies are coming, while others think they're preparing for the much awaited chaos of the 2012. Others simply expect total socio-economic collapse. One thing they all have in common is that all believe(d) the current POTUS, no matter what color or religion he happened to be was destroying the country.
So when Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and the Bushes (All surprisingly white men) were in office, were all the paramilitary groups made up of blacks?

It's sad that people like you can't disassociate yourself from the past. Just because you were raised "in the 1950's" doesn't mean that what you see in that video is equivalent to the racism of the past. Talk about stretching to make a point. I'd be willing to bet that even the African-American's that experienced racism would have trouble linking the sentiments of these folks to the racism they experienced. Give it up already.
