Why do you right wingers worry about any debt?
According to the right wingers we are living in the End Times. The Rapture is near! Jesus will return any day now. That means no future generations. No debt for future generations to pay.
The main thing is to "get right" with Jesus.
May God Ble$$ You!
They weren't worried about it at all until Obama became president. Then they were born again fiscal conservatives. About as phony of a bunch as you can get.

Plenty of folks were worried about it last year with that bailout bill under Bush. The Dems, including Obama, voted FOR it.

But didn't you know, SLCpunk?
The United States was booming, there was no war, no recession, no national debt, there was a good unemployment rate UNTIL January 20th 2009?
Amazing how Obama is breaking records one after another.
In dollar amounts Bush holds the record with 6 trillion increase, so Obama still has ways to go. Of course he still has plenty of time.
Of course it depends how you look at it: Reagan tripeled the existing debt, while Bush doubeled it. For Obama to double it, we'd hit 22 trillion, and to triple it, we'd hit 33 trillion.

That is the obviouls hypocricy here. They also still hail Reagan as an economic genious, althought he practically invented the current policy of deficit spending while tripling the national debt.
You hear these big numbers tossed around so often that it practically loses its impact. I for one am very concerned about this staggering loss of self control of the federal government. This isn't a Republican or Democratic issue. Both parties share the responsibility equally for this debt. In the last couple of years, I have concluded that this debt will never be repayed in a meaningful way. It will either be inflated away or defaulted on with payments of pennies on a dollar or some type of multi-national currency will take its place. Just watch the price of gold. It will tell the story.
STOP SPENDING NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT ANOTHER PENNY
Before someone says it Yes Bush added to it a lot a huge amount now lets move on and is very much to blame. Now that we've played the blame game
Who and how are we going to pay that back?
