she has a responsiblity to choose carefully, what she says, when she says it, and who she says it in front of.
There are some countries where she could not open her mouth, not only because she is a woman, but because she has those strong opinions!
So who gets to CENSOR what she is allowed to say or not say here? Whose job is that? So she can say some things, but not others? Mmmm.
Go back and read my original post! I didn't say anything about censoring. What I said was, that she has a responsibility. She should use her own common sense, (if she has any, because it obviously seems to be lacking). Simply because she has the "right" to say certain things, does not mean that she should! I don't appreciate that some of the things she says could potentially undermine the morale of our troops, or be used by our enemies. I don't know if you have a loved one in the military, but I do, and I won't apologize for supporting them, and for expecting media figures to use their head, for something besides a hat rack!
Well, it's just TV. The views she espouses are deadly serious and worth consideration. I don't see where personal attacks come into a thoughtful consideration of the matters at hand. That's all.
Her incendiary remarks about Asians was certainly deadly serious, her hypocrisy regarding her entitlement to immunity from universal ignominy in light of her haughty fluff that she expressed at Kelly Ripa's action of recoiling when that dude put his hand on his mouth was certainly worth considering.
She is a self-righteous hypocrite who believes she should be above the same judgment that she lays upon everyone else. In light of that, nothing she says is of any true relevance.
I think what people are trying to say is that when she is at work in her profession, she should be professional and use tact. I am a school teacher and I have to monitor myself at all times to be sure that the things I am saying are appropriate for my audience. Is this censorship? I don't believe so. There are appropriate ways of getting you point across, but they have to be planned carefully without voicing every single thought that pops up into your head.
I just have this huge distaste for Rosie based on what I see her saying in public. I don't watch "The View", but I see enough quotes from her in the media (quotes not just attributed to her, but actual snippets from interviews and such) that I view her as someone who is an ignorant loudmouth. I don't care about her religion or sexual orientation....I just have a very negative opinion of her because SHE has given me that impression of her. Same reason I don't like MOST people in the public limelight. TV exposure does not grant anyone wisdom, just a large audience.
I have nothing against her being a lesbian or a strong woman figure (as some of you think she is but I don't). I'm just glad finally some people are agreeing with me. I was starting to think that I was the minority!
I watch Rosie every day. Whether you agree with her or not (I don't always), I give her credit for having an opinion and voicing it. Frankly, I am disgusted with politicians and "newscasters" who only voice what they think people want to hear. You have to admire her spunk and pugnacity in a world where women are still relegated to the back burner.

I could not disagree with you more.Women are a large part of society and hold alot of power in this country.Rosie is just a left wing lunatic who parades the fact that she is homosexual like it is a good thing. Her views are just as idiotic as her sexuality.

Women are still relegated to the back burner? Do you get out much?
