Which has absolutely nothing to do with the rape and murder of black slaves by their masters. Have you ever actually read any history books?
I think some people who glorify the 'old south' ignore the truth of where all those light skinned black folks came from. Perhaps they imagine romances where the master courted and married the slave woman. Before selling her and her (their) children to several different plantations that is.
So what? It is the flag of our nation. The rebel flag is the flag of treasonous sons of wh*res who valued the right to own human beings while going to church on Sundays. That is the southern culture that you think so highly of? And anyway, they lost. They were not only traitors to the United States of America, they were also losers. And those are facts that cannot be denied.
Our "nation" is crap. Honestly. What they valued was the right of the individual over the right of government to control them.

Aside from you selective views of history, southerners also valued lesser involvement in the central government in peoples lives (even including property rights/slaves). Regardless of what you think as well, no matter how many times you say it or fool yourself into believing it. The south did not commit treason, nobody was ever tried, and the supreme court of the United States after the war recognised that, and the past validity of the secession.
Dumb analogy. Colonists were not 'part of England'. They did not enter into a union willingly with Great Britain. They did not attempt to tear apart a country over the right to buy, sell, rape, and murder other human beings.
ROFLMAO
This is purely ridiculous even by your own standards! Yes, they (the colonials) were British citizens/subjects.
And those colonists would rightly be considered traitors to the Crown. In fact, I do believe that this is how it is taught in schools in the UK. And that would be accurate.
With regards to the civil war - the rebels were traitors to the United States of America. Deal with it. The battle flag of the confederacy is a flag of war and treason. Deal with it. To ignore the fact that those fine southern gentlemen were enemy combatants of the United States is foolish and historically inaccurate. Deal with it. The fact is that the rebel flag and the nazi flag are on par with one another. They are both flags of enemies of the United States and should never be flown with honor. Deal with that.
You keep saying "deal with it". But deal with what? LMAO
The treason issue has been dealt with and completely refuted innumerable times. It is your problem if you choose to ignore it. Deal with it.
The Confederate Flag (i.e. Battle Flag...of which there were many) are part of our Southern history and heritage. Deal with it.
BTW -- the northern states kept the name "United States" only by default. In fact, in the formation of the Southern Confederacy, some wanted to call it "United States." They Southern states fought a war against the northern states, defending their homeland against invasion. Never once was it against the basic principles of the Founding Father and the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution (largely written by Southerners, I might add).
