No telling what they (Muslims and other Christians) would do with people with other birth disorders.
Don't you mean to ask what atheist liberals would do to people with birth disorders? Aren't they the most common users of abortion?
To the sorely misguided: there is NO comparison between Judaism/Christianity and Islam when it comes to religious laws and the way they are interpreted AND applied. There are NO calls from the established leadership of Jewish or Christian faith for killing homosexuals! Yet this is GOVERNMENT LAW in Muslim countries.

To the mis-applied: There is NO comparision between Christianity IN THE UNITED STATES and Islam in Islamic rule countries, when it comes to religious laws...because in the United States THERE ARE NO RELIGIOUS LAWS. No matter how hard the far extreme right continues to attempt to make it so, and be just like the extremist madrassa's found in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, Yemen and Iraq.
That is why there is no correlation, not because of the religion or the people.
What does this thread have to do with Christianity anyhow? There is no comparison between it and Islam. You cannot even compare them on any basis, as our laws are not governed by the bible. Not to mention, I have never heard of any true Christian calling for the death of a homosexual. Ridiculous that people who oppose Christianity have to resort to comparing it to Islamic Sharia law.
If someone has a beef with Christianity, they should start a new thread and not hijack this one. This thread is about Islamic Law calling for the death penalty for homosexuals. Islamic law IS a large part of the political law in many muslim countries.
Interesting to note those who do compare this with Christianity however. And equally interesting to note that those who are making the comparison are liberals.
Vanderbilt University is distancing itself from a Muslim chaplain after he told a gathering of students homosexuality is punishable by death under Islam.
"I don't have a choice as a Muslim to accept or reject teachings. I go with what Islam teaches," said Awadh A. Binhazim, who is listed on the Vanderbilt website as "Adjunct Professor of Islam at the Divinity School" and an adviser to the Muslim Student Association. His comments came earlier this week at a diversity event for students.
He was asked directly, "Under Islamic law is it punishable by death if you are a homosexual?"
Binhazim said, "Yes. It is punishable by death."

I try not to make judgments on people's religious or cultural beliefs. If Islam teaches this and people are Muslim then what business is it of anyone? If you are gay, I strongly suggest that you do not live in a Muslim country. If you live in a Muslim country and cannot move out, for whatever reason, it would be a good idea not to be homosexual.

Similar instructions from old testament, and yet, that old testament interpretation is not permitted in secular society. It's a very difficult balance to walk as christian living in secular world, and one they willfully must volunteer to subordinate to secular law if they mean to participate in secular existence.
In other words, I have a serious problem with any extremist, no matter whose flag is flying. You'd rather label that liberal. Your bad.

nice lob ... the OP points to an extremist Muslim view and we, correctly, btw, point out that there are just as wacky Christians out there. Thinking that Westboro Baptist tool.

Why is that so wrong? I don't get it.
Lol, "It would be a good idea not to be homosexual?"
Not exactly helpful to those that were born in those countries. It's like saying that because of Saudi Arabia's strict Wahabbism, "It would be a good idea not to be a woman" in Saudi Arabia.
You are what you are, regardless of where fate chooses as your place of birth.
